I had taken out a life insurance policy with an agent from the Myrtle Beach area in April In May, my first payment was drafted from my account which was for the amount I had been quotedDue to unforseen circumstances, my financial situation changed and I was forced to over cut back on expensesI attempted to get in touch with the agent by the phone number on the business card she had left me, (I never received a policy as of yet)When I called, it went to voice mail and the message was just a generic message stating the number and when to leave a messageI left a message stating my name and the situation and to please cancel my policy and if there was any problem, to contact meI never got a responseIn June, another payment was taken outI again attempted to contact the agent with no responseAt the end of June, I attempted once again to contact the agent to make sure there would be no payment taken out because I had contacted the bank concerning this matter and there would be a rather large fee to initiate a stop payment on the transactionAgain, no answerJust a generic voice mailAt the beginning of July, another payment was taken from my accountI immediately called the bank, issued the stop payment, and luckily, was able to get that payment backI attempted to call the agent again twice with the same resultsSo, I found the company on the internet hoping to be able to contact them personallyNo such luck there eitherUnder the "contact us" heading is a form to email themNo telephone number to be foundSo, I filled out their form stating what had happened and, like their agent, no responseSo, from that, I assume this is a practice that is learned and/or handed down from corporate to employeeI just hope that maybe this will prevent someone else from having their money taken by this agent and her company
