The jacket seems to be OK, but the size is smaller than I expected. When I tried to return it and get a larger size, the instruction was to return this one and order a new one separately, rather than an exchange. Icouldn't find the link to print the return label. When I asked customer service about that, I was told that I had failed to follow directions and there could be no return label after my incorrect choice. ***. I will always look here before patronizing a business in the future. I am not having anymore to do with North Aware, and will try to sell or give the too-small jacket to an extra small person.

They took almost a year to send my jacket and sent the won't size I returned it paying for the return shipping myself even though it was their product that was mislabeled and they didn't acknowledge my return for months. Then they finally sent me a new jacket missing the hood with the built in scarf and the gloves. I emailed them continuously for a refund. They sent me a cheque but not for the full amount. They cut a shipping costEven though I have paid for shipping separately when I ordered. I contacted them again didn't proof that I have paid for shipping on top of the jacket cost. It has been years and they still owe me the rest of money. They don't respond to me but keep sending me more promotional emails. ***, I'm actually one of the luckier ones because I got some of my money back. Yet they continue to operate

. Not only is their product cheap, but their customer service (which is exceptional before your purchase) is unbelievable *** afterwards. If you're trying to get your money back then good luck. It takes days to get a response, and they are poorly worded with little to no direction. The provided telephone number doesn't even work. It's been over three weeks since purchasing and I still don't have my money back.

North Aware jackets are a great product with an excellent customer service team. This is a new company (so resources will be limited) trying to enter a very competitive market. Their ability to mass produce won't be at the rate as some of the major companies, however from my personal experience, the company does their best to satisfy all their customers and goes above and beyond any other major jacket brand I've ever purchased from before. I just bought a jacket from North Aware two days ago (December 18, 2018) and have already received my jacket; before Christmas, at the busiest time of the year! Although the exact style I initially order was sold out, they offered me the opportunity to either exchange my original selection for one of the other styles in stock or refund my order completely with no hassle.

Just got the jacket Aug 29 th , 2018. Well before the october deadline. I am shocked at the quality of the jacket. BEST jacket I ever had. I was sacred at first reading the coments of thier first year run. But they steped up and hit it out of the park. The features alone are worth it , but trying the jacket on it was soft and the leather , cashmere lined gloves. Would recommend to any/ everyone. This jacket is a keeper for a long time.

I am very satisfied with the investment in this coat! It was my first "big" investment as fashion goes. I was unhappy to find out that there was production issues which set them back, with that said, being a relatively small/newer business it is understandable, especially considering they deliver such a fantastic product! Would appreciate some website updates which respect to care instructions, but again, very happy with North Aware! I am excited to see them progress!

I prepaid for a winter parka in three installments in March, April and May for a coat that was to be delivered at the end of October - just before the winter season. It is now mid-December and no coat has been shipped. At first the company was responsive and said there was a slight delay on the pre-paid orders, but that they would be delivered in November. November came and went with no coat. I contacted customer service via email (they do not provide a phone number for the company) and at first the agent was responsive and he even provided a tracking number. This, however, just turned out to be for the creation of a shipment, but nothing was ever delivered to the carrier based upon the tracking information. At this point the agent began to act like the coat was possibly lost by the carrier, but it was very clear nothing was ever shipped. And then he stopped responding to me entirely.

I have since disputed all charges with my credit card company in the hopes that they will be more successful in clearing up this mess than I was.

What angers me is this company continues to advertise like crazy across Facebook and Instagram, yet they do not have any product to sell. They are even pretending an order placed today (December 13, 2017) will be shipped in time for Christmas.

I'm a bit of a fashion fiend, and usually have several coats that I switch between during the coldest months of the year. As long as they were warm and attractive, I'll alternate between them in my closet. My Smart Parka is so warm, I might just stick to it this winter. It's just a better coat all around than anything else I have. Thank you!

The coat I got from North Aware is beautiful! I usually have to buy a new coat pretty often because I get them cheap and they don't hold up for long. But I have a feeling I'll be using this one for a long time. Durable and comfortable, everything I wanted in a coat for the winter.

I pre-ordered a Smart Parka on March 20, 2017. The coat was to be delivered no later than October 31st, 2017. In light of complaints from others about late delivery, I contacted the company twice - in June and again in September - to check to see if the coats were scheduled to be delivered by the promised date of Oct. 31st; I was assured they were right on track - no worries to be had. I spoke with Richard C. in both these instances, and have email record of the communications.

The coat was not shipped before Oct. 31st - I had to contact the company on Oct. 31st to get this information. I formal email was sent to alert customers of the delay on Nov. 2nd, with a new promise date of Nov. 17th. This promise date was also missed - my coat first arrived at *** facility on Nov. 23rd. Though when I contacted North Aware (this time communicating with Francis C.), I was assured that my coat had shipped out on Nov. 19th (I also have record of this).

Okay, so what I've gather thus far is that either North Aware customer service is in the business of lying and scheming to try to appease their customers, or they are devastatingly incompetent in their ability to anticipate their manufacturing timeline. That's two years in a row - no lessons learned last year.

My second, bigger issue is that I explicitly and repeatedly expressed my concerns with requiring a signature upon package delivery. I was willing to pay additional shipping fees (I was already charged $20), and it seems that this is common sense when delivering a package valued at ~$450 USD. Regardless of all of my effort, they sent the coat by *** ground with no signature required for delivery. Not surprisingly, my package was stolen. I am livid. They have held over $400 of my money for greater than 8 months, and it is now nearly December and I have no coat.

For all my trouble they're willing to offer me a $20 beanie hat, but I'll have to pay $8 in shipping to get it. ***
