North Bay Marina, Inc. Reviews (4)

I have found that everyone at North Bay Marina really cares about boating and their customers boatsThey will bend over backwards for you..., I have bought two boats there and wouldn't go anywhere elsePeriod

Worst customer service ever, Scott and JD both ridiculous to deal with! Bought a new boat from North Bay marina and they refuse to complete warranty work!!!

Took my boat to me sold ;they had it over a month ;promise they were going to put it for sale, did not list it did not put it out front just left it out back setting in mud.All they did was to do work I never asked for; when I asked for the old parts they could not provide them. There were 2 people I delt with over the sale ; one was Joe and the other who was really unprofessional was the parts man think. My opinion is to really look at another dealer if your trying to sell, have work done or anything else, their prices are also high.

Review: On February 15, 2015, I ordered a boat from North Bay Marina at the Ocean City Boat Show. The contract price

was $66,000.00 of which a deposit for $10,000.00 was given that day. The sales person told me the boat would be

delivered in mid April. I contacted North Bay Marina who is located in Selbyville, DE the last week of April to inquire about the delivery. I was told by the owner, [redacted] that the boat wouldn't be delivered until the first week of May. I again contact [redacted] on or about May 7, 2015 and was told the boat would be delivered on May 19, 2015. On May 20, 2015, I arrived at the dealership and paid in full the outstanding $56,000.00 balance owed. I was then told by [redacted] that the dealership was awaiting the arrival of a cable which was ordered and shipped

overnight due to a mix-up with the motor and electronic gauges. Arrangements were made to have the boat delivered at approximately noon on May 22, 2015.

On May 21, 2015, I responded to the Department of Natural Resources in Salisbury, MD and paid for the MD sales

tax and boat registration. After doing so, I again called [redacted] to confirm the noon delivery on May 22, 2015.

I was then told the motor that was shipped with the boat was the wrong motor and he was working on a remedy but would not be able to deliver the boat as planned. I was also told the motor would be in his possession by May 26, 2015 and he would have the boat ready for delivery on or about May 28, 2015. As of this writing I have no boat and would appreciate this matter being resolved.Desired Settlement: I am requesting a total refund to include the Maryland Sales Tax for a total of $69,341.00

Response:

8/18/15 [redacted], This customer has had his boat since 6/4/15. The delays in the boat delivery to us were beyond our control and when we finally got custody of the boat and engine we delivered it to the customer in less than 48 hours. We have contacted him twice since then to make sure everything is ok and he has not responded. We can only assume that he has no issues. Are you all just now responding to his original complaint or has something new come up? Thanks, North Bay Marina Inc. S[redacted]
