I am writing in regard to a complaint you received from *** ***We did not reimburse *** *** for repairs to his vehicle caused by our not properly torqueing the lug nuts on his right front wheel because he paid nothing for the repair (replacement of three lug nuts)We did not reimburse
him for his rental vehicle because he took his car in for diagnosis on June and it was completed that dayHis rental began on June and lasted until June 27.I told *** *** that we would reimburse him for all the money he paid usI explained the above reasoning for not paying for repairs that he was not charged for and rental time that was not necessary due to the lug nuts being loose*** *** was not pleased with my response and called me back on July threatening to sue us for attempted murder.We sent *** *** a check in the amount of $to refund him all that he paid usThat check has been cashedWhile we did not have a chance to verify the lug nuts being loose we are willing to take responsibility for his getting a rental vehicle prior to taking the car in for repairsI don't feel we need to reimburse *** *** for repairs caused by the loose lug nuts because he did not have to pay anything for them.Please let me know if this is acceptable to *** ***We would also request that he please post on *** that the incident has been satisfactorily resolvedIf this is acceptable I will have a check in the amount of $mailed to *** *** as soon as possible
