Mike S*Apr to me
Dear *** ***,
It is very obvious that I am not going to be able to make Ms*** happy.I am also not going to get into a war of words with her.She is not telling the truthI had other customers in my establishment at the time of her visitand they commented to me that I handled my self very professionally during her visitI may have gotten the trip to Pittsburgh incorrect ( it was Erie ) but the fact remains she ruined the tires with her poor alignment. That is all I have to say and I hope to never deal with Ms*** again. Thanks,Mike S*North Coast Tire CenterNorth Ridge Rd.Madison, OH

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Mr. S[redacted] has said that he will not make any attempts to correct the matter and continues to lie about the events of that day. I hope the Revdex.com reflects this in their rating of this business. To correct Mr. S[redacted]s lies, here are my rebuttals.
1. There were no other patrons outside his business the day of the incident -- the only people outside (where the majority of the incident happened including where Mr. S[redacted] continually yelled at me and continued to do so even after I had attempted to get in my car and leave) were Mr. S[redacted], myself, & my father: [redacted]-- so to claim other patrons were outside to witness the incident is false.
2. My tire alignment is not the reason for the wear of the tire; the tires wore because we were sold bad tires.  Had my tire alignment been at fault, the tires would have worn in a "candy cane stripe pattern" as they had done previously.  The tires from Mr. S[redacted] wore on the complete area of the tire and the "wear bar" was showing. It is not reasonable or accurate to accuse the alignment of the car for the low tread on the tire.
3. Mr. S[redacted] did admit his mistake regarding the destination of the basketball trip; by him doing this he is acknowledging that I didn't drive "hundreds of miles on the tires" as he quoted. A round trip from my location to Erie, PA is about 140 miles; whereas a round trip from my location to Pittsburg and back is 288 miles. He was trying to add an additional 140 miles of drive onto the tires to help his case but clearly that was incorrect so he cannot blame the "driving hundreds of miles...with a bad alignment" as a reason for the faulty tires.
4. In his reply. Mr. S[redacted] said that he hopes he never has to deal with me again; this is clearly showing his inability to admit any fault and complete disregard for his customer. I hope the Revdex.com will take note of this and reflect that in his rating with the Revdex.com.
Furthermore, I would like to add that when you are in the service industry, the age old saying is "The customer is always right" -- Prior to reaching out the Revdex.com I attempted to resolve the issue by offering to purchase NEW tires from Mr. S[redacted] as long as he would honor the $130.00 credit he promised to me on the phone ([redacted] as witness). I have given him multiple opportunities to correct his mistake yet Mr. S[redacted] has decided to repeatedly call me a liar and blame me for his mistakes and the faulty tires he sold. Mr. S[redacted] sold me faulty tires, offered a full credit on those tires when purchasing a new set, then rescinded his offer when he had something else to blame and scammed me out of $130.00 claiming it was my cars fault. He has had his facts wrong the entire time and has even admitted some of his facts were incorrect. Never in my life have I seen a businessman act this way towards a customer.  I personally will never recommend this business to anyone I know and neither will my father after what he witnessed. My father was mortified that a grown man and business man would act in such a way to his customer. Once again, I hope the Revdex.com will factor this into their rating of this business. Clearly there is no resolve here but hopefully other patrons won’t be subject to the ridicule, accusations and the waste of money that I was subject to by Mr. S[redacted].
Regards,

Mike S[redacted] <[redacted]@gmail.com>Apr 8 to me Dear [redacted]I have reviewed the complaint from [redacted].I have a different interpretation of the original purchase experience, the phone call she mentions and the visit when she brought back the tires...

she ruined.Ms [redacted] originally came in and purchased two tires on Monday 2/29/16. She brought her Father along so that he could look at the tires. She indicated that she knew nothing about tires and wanted his approval on the used tires she was purchasing.  He settled on 2 used [redacted] tires size 225/50/17 with between 6/32 and 7/32 of tread on them. This represents approximately 60%-70% tread life. There were 5 tires to choose from and he selected the best two. We mounted and balanced the tires installed them and Ms. [redacted] paid and they both left happy.I received a call from Ms. [redacted] (Not sure of the date) and she explained that her tires were wore out and that her mechanic told her the tires needed replaced. She also told me that she had taken a road trip to Pittsburgh Pennsylvania and her mechanic was also doing an alignment. ( She realized she ruined the tires with the bad alignment)  I explained that I would need to see the tires in order to make any decisions about what happened to the tires. At that time I let her know that both her and her father had chosen the best two tires out of the 5 available and that when the tires left my shop they had 60% to 70% tread on them. At the end of the conversation, I again stated that I would need to see the tires to make any intelligent call as to what happened to the tires or what if anything I would be able to do to help her out.Ms. [redacted] showed up at the shop with her father and the ruined tires days later. When I saw the tires I knew immediately that the car had been driven with improper alignment. the tires were completely ruined. Bald on the edges. I explained that I would not be able to take back or give any credit. I told her that I didn't feel I was responsible for her driving her car with a bad front end alignment and ruining the tires. Of course she was upset and the conversation became more of a shouting match. At one point her father acted very embarrassed and requested she get in the car so they could leave. When she was leaving I started to give her back the tires and she became even more irate and stated she wanted me to throw them away. I explained I could do this but it would cost $6.00 to dispose of the two tires. She got even louder and took the tires with her to be disposed of.As she was leaving she was threatening to smear my businesses good name on social media and any other way that she could. I did say that I would contact my attorney if she did so.Ms. [redacted] stated in her letter that her mechanic said the tires could not wear that fast. I agree with this. The alignment on her car was bad and this is what wore out her tires. She failed to mention when her Mechanic saw the tires it was after her trip to Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, after hundreds of miles of driving with a bad alignment.I do not believe I am responsible in anyway for her poor judgement in driving the car for weeks with an alignment issue. This is what ruined her tires. When the tires left my shop they have a great amount of tread on them. Now that she ruined the tires she wants someone else to pay for her mistake and that is just not right!Sincerely,Mike S[redacted]North Coast Tire Center5784 North Ridge Rd.Madison, OH 44057
