Review: Brett at North End Auto advised me from picking up the master cylinder at [redacted] Auto Parts as they can have the part delivered for free and the cost would be the same as if I bought it myself at [redacted]. He said in fact they get a discount 10 to 15% off my list price but they would charge would it would cost me ( a pass through cost). They were fixing my brakes at parts plus labor. The part number is #[redacted] lists for $61.99 at [redacted] which is less than 1 mile away from the garage.When I stopped by at Garage at 11am have driven by earlier around 10am on my Bike I saw my car already parked outside on the side they place cars after repaired and for customer pick up. So on my way back through I stopped to pay for my bill, get keys and walk back later that evening to get my car. They estimated the repair would cost $150.00. The Bill was for $212.03.I was okay for the majority of the cost as he said they had to bleed the brakes which took more time. What the issue is they in turn charged me $90.73 for the Master Cylinder when it was a pass thru cost of $61.99 and they get a discount they of course keep.I tried to reason with Brett that it cost $61.99 not $90.73 and he basically said I was mistaken and was insistent that the cost is what they paid and I can't get the car unless I pay the bill, which I did. He then said he would discuss the matter with [redacted] at let me know, I called back in 2 hours for my $28.00 refund and proved to Brett once he verified on line the cost from the same [redacted] was $61.99. Then he stopped telling me I was wrong and changed his story from the paid $90.73 to now saying they charged me 90.73 as that gives me the insurance that if it breaks in 30 days they will replace the master cylinder for free. I pointed out his now double talking as a little while ago it was what they paid for and advised Brett that [redacted] would replace the part for free had I bought it myself for $28.00 less. I asked again for my refund and he said repeatedly that's not going to happen.Desired Settlement: a $28.00 refund and I think they may be ripping people off a little here and there a little at a time so it stay under the radar and I only caught it having researched the repair costs prior to dropping car off.
