Review: I am filing the complaint on behalf of my wife.My wife went to North Hills Podiatry to get her toenails looked at and her nails treated. As part of her visit, she had her nails filed down and the anti-fungal medication applied. Later, upon receiving the bill, she noticed an additional charge of $50 for debridement of nails. This additional charge was never communicated to her in the office or even mentioned it would be an additional "operation" requiring any additional billing.My wife has spoken to both North Hills Podiatry and our insurance provider and both parties are not addressing the lack of communication regarding billing.Our complaint is in regards to the lack of communication in regards to the billing especially since there was an additional charge and the "debridement" performed was very minor.Desired Settlement: If $50 is the reasonable charge for lightly filing nails, then so be it. However, the consumer of the service shall be made away of any such additional charge or charges so he or she can make an informed decision. We would like a refund for $50 and hope that North Hills Podiatry communicates its billing more clearly to its customers. If that doesn't happen, we would like other potential customers to be aware of this upfront so the same does not happen to them or they simply choose another provider.
