Dear Mr [redacted] ,Please be advised that we are in receipt of your complaint filed with the Revdex.com on November 23, to which this letter is in responseIn your complaint, you assert that the Credit Union did not provide you with adequate notice that repossession of the [redacted] (Vehicle) was imminent.By way of background, you purchased the Vehicle on September 20, The regular monthly payment in the amount of $per the Retail Installment Agreement (Contract) was due on November 4, and continuing each month thereafter until paid in full.On September 4, 2015, October 4, 2015, and November 4, you failed to make the regularly scheduled payments in the sum total of $1,and late charges of $were assessed for a total amount due of $1,207,65.Beginning September 16, through October 24, 2015, the Credit Union called you at the number you provided when you opened your account, [redacted] in order to provide notice that payments were overdueThereafter, having had no return call from you, nor received the three late payments or any other communication from you regarding your late payments, the Credit Union elected to exercise its right to repossess its collateral on November 9, 2015.Thereafter the applicable notices were mailed to you by certified mail at the address that we have on file for youThe notices set forth all applicable fees due in order to redeem and reinstate the loanOn November 19, you requested an extension of time for redemption and reinstatement on November 19, The last day for you to redeem and reinstate the loan is December 7, 2015.The Credit Union provided adequate notice to you of each late payment and late charge assessmentIn addition, delinquency notices referencing each past due payment were mailed to you at your address on file and were not returned to the Credit Union by the U.SPostal OfficeIn fact, at no time prior to the repossession was the Credit Union notified that you had moved and did not receive notice of your new address until November 12, when you contacted our office postrepossessionPlease be reminded that it is the responsibility of the member to notify the Credit Union if they move and/or if their telephone number changes pursuant to the member disclosures provided to you at the time of account opening.Once your loan has been reinstated, invite you to call the Credit Union's Contact Center at [redacted] , Option *, to discuss the possibility of alternative payment arrangements.If you have any questions, please let us know.Sincerely,NORTH ISLAND CREDIT UNION [redacted]

It is not a policy of North Island Credit Union to lock members accounts when forms are not received. North Island Credit Union strives to consistently provide exceptional service to our members, therefore falling short of doing so caused us great concern. Upon learning of this action, we immediately reinstated Mrs. [redacted] ATM cards to full access.

The regular monthly payment in the amount of $390.18 per the Retail Installment Agreement (Contract) was due on November 4, 2013 and continuing each month thereafter until paid in full.On September 4, 2015, October 4, 2015, and November 4, 2015 you failed to make the regularly scheduled payments in the sum total of $1,168.72 and late charges of $38.93 were assessed for a total amount due of $1,207,65.Beginning September 16, 2015 through October 24, 2015, the Credit Union called you at the number you provided when you opened your account, [redacted] in order to provide notice that payments were overdue.
