I was in North Isle Signs this weekend and had a horrible experience. We explained to the woman working what we wanted our sign to look like, and she filled out the receipt. When we returned to pick the sign up, it wasn't what we wanted so we asked them to fix it. The owner got upset about it and said he would make a new one even though it was "costing him money." We were told to come back and we would get a whole new one, and when we came back to pick it up it looked horrible. Instead of making a new sign, he just added a poor excuse of what he called a heart. I went on to tell him that it looked horrible and you couldn't even give this as a gift, that's how bad it looked. He went on to say that I was making him fall behind on his work. After going back and forth for a few minutes, he started to walk away, not going to do anything for me. So, I asked him if I could have my money back. His answer was "No." I questioned him about it and said I was thoroughly upset and I wanted my money back. He slammed his finger on the cash register and threw a $20 bill at me and said, "There!" I couldn't believe how unprofessional this owner was to customers and this represents horrible customer service, the worst I've ever seen. My job is working with the public and I can honestly say I've never treated and will never treat anybody the way I was treated today. It was totally uncalled for and I will never step foot in this store again, nor will I ever positively recommend this place to anybody I know. I was very disappointed in the way this situation was dealt with. Totally unbelievable, my recommendation: nobody should step foot in the doors of North Isle Signs.

Review: I purchased a wooden sign from [redacted], he stated he took only cash or checks. He stated he was very busy and would mail the sign to the address agreed upon by mid August 2013. Numerous phone calls and email attempts to confirm shipment. [redacted] answered one of my phone calls stating his computer was down and would be repaired the following week. After that phone call all my attempts went to voice mail and emails went unanswered. I left a voice message each time I called. I feel [redacted] intended to defraud me when he stated he only took cash and checks. I have a receipt for my cash transaction, stating the I paid for the sign. This was a gift for my brother's 30th Anniversary.Desired Settlement: I would like [redacted] to refund the $66.08 he took from me. I do not want the sign as the Anniversary celebration has past and I had to purchase another gift.

I would like [redacted] to be restricted from doing business in any location in Wisconsin, as he is a dishonest business owner and other customers should be protected from him. He has had numerous address in

Wisconsin.

[redacted] collects sales tax on his cash transactions, I suspect he does not report this income to Wisconsin or remit the sales tax he collects. He should not be allowed to continue to defraud, the customer and the state of Wisconsin.

Review: We purchased a sign from [redacted] at a kiosk in the Wausau Center Mall on December 28, 2013. Mr. [redacted] said he had a lot of orders and couldn't complete the sign that day, but promised to ship it to us within a week or so.

He cashed the check (we have a copy of the cleared item) but the sign never arrived. The phone number for the permanent business location ([redacted]) in the Old Minocqua Boardwalk on [redacted] is out of service.

The email address he gave us ([redacted]) yields no response. We also left messages at a residence phone we believe to be his - [redacted] (address [redacted]) but our calls were not returned.Desired Settlement: We want our money back - $84.95 plus $4.67 tax - total $89.62.

Review: On August 22, 2014 my niece purchased a sign from North Isle Signs. It was not to her specifications and when we went to explain it to the owner, he got very defensive and turned the blame to her. I then came up with a silution and ordered an additional sign to be added to the bottom of the botched sign. I was not happy having to shell out more money but I wanted her sign to look better than it did. The bill came to around $36, but since we were leaving the next day, I asked if he would ship it and his wife said yes, so I rounded my check up to $40 to help cover the cost of shipping. They cashed the check within a few days but to this day we have not received a sign. I have tried calling the Chamber of Commerce, but he not a member. I have tried NUMEROUS times to contact him by phone, I even tried to message his wife via Facebook but to no avail. I have even called the Minocqua Police by the suggestion of another shop that is next door to his. They have told me that he is a regular recipient of police complaints due to this same reason. I cannot understand for the life of me, how a person can run a business the way he does and still be open. I just want my $40 back or a sign that is decently made, not like the crappy one he made my niece.Desired Settlement: I want the sign or my money back and to see people like him not in business anymore!

Review: We ordered two custom signs from Mr. [redacted] at his shop in Minnoqua, WI on our annual camping vacation. The two signs cost $400 plus dollars and were to be delivered via mail within 8 weeks. After 12 weeks we called Mr. [redacted] at the number he listed on the rcpt. and left a VM. After a few days we did again and proceeded to leave 5-6 messages over the course of the next two months and not once did he call back. We also found a web address and sent several e-mail messages. Again we have not heard one word from Mr. [redacted] and now his VM is too full to accept more messages.Desired Settlement: We would still like our order or a full refund if he cannot deliver. We do make this 5 hour trek to Minnoqua once per year and be certain that we will visit Mr. [redacted] perhaps with the police to confront him. If he has not delivered the signs we are prepared to press charges to make certain he does not containue this scam. It appears from many other Revdex.com complaints that this is a common pattern.

Review: We ordered a family sign from this company 2 weeks ago. The owner told me that he would mail it to me and I should have the sign by the end of that same week. Well after 2 weeks 3 phone calls and many many lies I still have nothing for the $90 I paid him upfront! Very upset and irritated how this man can still be in business. He insists on mailing the signs knowing full well he is just going to pocket the money and never make the sign. He is a crook. He is running a fraudulent business. I'm Disgusted that this guy keeps getting away with doing this to his customers and nothing ever happens to him or his business. He needs to be shut down!Desired Settlement: I would like to have 1 of 2 things happen. Either get my sign made the way I had ordered it or get my money back

Review: July 20, 2013 I paid this merchant to make a custom sign and he was to ship it to my address when completed. The charge was $51.64. I gave him $55.00 cash and said he could keep the difference. It's been almost 5 months and the sign has not been delivered. I have emailed him countless times but there are no responses. I have left a couple telephone messages also but he doesn't return my calls.Desired Settlement: I still want the sign if it can be delivered quickly. Otherwise, I would like a full refund.

Very talented artist...he was very patient with our request, as we weren't sure of what we wanted. Veteran owned & offered us a military discount! Delivery overseas in 6 weeks as agreed. Thank you so much, we love it!!!

Review: My husband and I were Christmas shopping in Wausau on 12/14/13 when I came across North Isle Signs. We thought this would be a good gift for his mom and step dad since that just bought a cabin in Upper Micagin. We went in and the lady in the store was very helpful in placing the order. We placed the order and agreeded upon a pickup date witch was 12/28/13, since we did not need the sign until we went to Micagin on 1/31/14. I wrote a personal check and left the store planning on picking it up on 12/28/13. When 12/28/13 came around I made the trip to Wausau to pick up the sign, when I got there the sign was not finished. The owner [redacted] was there and told me that since it was not done and we come from out of town he would ship it to my home. I wrote my address on the order form and he said it would be shipped to me by mid January which he also wrote on the order slip. Come the end of January I still have not recieved my sign and I needed it before we left to go out of town on 1/31/14. I called him 3 times and left messages each time and he has not returned my calls. He was also only seansonal in Wausau so I cannot go to his store in the Wausau mall to talk with him or pick it up.Desired Settlement: I no longer want the sign since it past the date I need it by. I would just like my money refunded in the amount of 79.07.
