At approximately 22:I called the Er to let them know that my adult son has been admitted with severe anxiety and has been admitted to them with alcohol withdrawal and panicI let them know that I was his mother and will be responsible for him and to please Baker Act Him and that I was on my wayBy the time I got there my son was escorted out of the ER by the local police because they discharged him for not having insuranceThe two policemen made also fun of him and told him to get lost and to get of the hospital premisesThat their tax dollars would not be paying his billI had to drive all over town to find my mentally ill son worrying if he may have killed himselfThe actions of this hospital is beyond medical mal-practice it was downright negligent from the staff through the police officersI finally found him scared and lostI am appagoing to the news and getting an attorneyThis is negligent
I had planned to deliver at the birthing center at Sacred HeartHowever, just moving to Crestview, and with labor progressing rapidly, I knew we would not make the minute drive
We headed towards North Okaloosa Medical center
Arrived and was having contractions back to backCheck in station moved quickly and immediately called labor and deliveryThey were there within 6-minutes to take me to labor and delivery floor
Within minutes of arriving I delivers my first baby girlThe nurses and on call Dr were incredible and after children, this was by far the best deliveryDr *** arrived just in time as I began to pushThe charge nurse helped coach me through the birth and the pain (I did not have time for epidural)Kacey was the nurse getting all of my information and she was courteous enough to wait until my contraction had ended to ask me questionsI could not have asked for a better experience, even if I could've made it to the birthing centerAll of the nurses over the next 48hr stay were wonderful and helpfulThey weren't delayed when I called for help and they allowed us to rest often (instead of coming in every 2hrs for vitals like the birthing center)
The only negative for me was the food but my husband is a chef so I am spoiled there
Everything else highly exceeded my expectations even down to the sweet housekeeping lady, Janice
