AGENCY'S
FILE NO.:
North Park Auto Repair received the above-referenced
customer complaint and appreciates the opportunity to respond. Specifically,
[redacted] complained that the repair service she requested was not done
and that she was quoted an additional $1400 to complete the repair.
[redacted] car originally was towed in with a blown radiator
causing the engine to overheat. We replaced the radiator and the car was no
longer overheating. We provided the
service accurately. [redacted] then brought her car back to us with a blown engine.
A root cause analysis was done and a blown head casket was discovered. The repair cost of $1400 that was quoted to
[redacted] was for the secondary damage. We proceeded to repair the blown head
casket. During the repair process [redacted] made the complaint to the Revdex.com of San
Diego out of frustration. However, [redacted] was extremely happy with the repair
work done and the huge discount we gave her.
When we contacted Mrs. [redacted] to discuss her
complaint with the Revdex.com of San Diego, she clarify that the complaint was
actually out of frustration and that she will be contacting the Revdex.com of San
Diego to void the complaint.
We ask that you please keep in mind; North Park Auto Repair
has been in business successfully for over 15 years due to our high ethical way
of doing business. We stand behind our service and we stand behind our

North Park Auto Repair sincerely regrets any inconvenience
this issue may have caused. Please feel free to contact us directly at

Review: On January 13,2014 I dropped off my car at the repair shop and they keeped it for days. It was ready for pick up January 20,2014 because they needed to inspect an alternator problem, that turned out to be a more serious problem, that now causes my car to not run more that 40mph,and smoke ,sparks coming out from my car, scratch on my bumper and missing mats. It doesnt run anymore,I left it at my place of work and when I went back to complain they came up with excuses and denied everything, but admitted the scratch they made on the bumper of my car.Desired Settlement: I need to them to refund my money and additional amount to take it to another shop and repair the additionakl damage they have caused
I didnt not have these problems.I only went for an alternator repair

When I first discovered this business, I had car checkups and the fellow at reception seemed friendly. I even referred my father and son to them. But I now believe my unproblematic service was not due to their service but simply to having a good car [It was an old car with a history of good maintenance elsewhere and very low mileage] This past week, after an accident in the rain, I spent 1000 dollars on repairs for that car and was told, after the repair and a test drive, that it was "drivable and will last for 5-6 months". So I drove it with a misplaced confidence. That very same day, the car died, halting repeatedly enroute to another part of the county, failing in such a manner that the engine (according to that same fellow whose shop I had the car towed back to) was ruined without hope of repair AND the manager would NOT acknowledge his responsibility for same. He just kept repeating, "the life of a car is unpredictable" and telling me again and again what repairs had been done AS IF telling me the car was drivable was not relevant!
I feel betrayed and my son says we were scammed. I am sorry I ever went to them and would NEVER recommend the shop to anyone.
