Mr. [redacted] was
offered $20,000 for his 2010 Lexus Rx300. That was refused by Mr. [redacted]. We
feel that the offer that was made was more than fair. We always welcome the
opportunity to visit with Mr. [redacted] pertaining to his vehicle and hopefully
come to a reasonable agreement. We understand the situations that have happen
with his Lexus regarding the no start concerns, and we feel that the vehicle is
repaired to Lexus standards.

I am rejecting this response because: The dealership has offered me nothing that I did not already know. Yes, I did meet with them and they offered me an insult for the trade in value of my car. They offered me $16,000 trade in value for my car. I could have received a better offer by just walking in off the street.
I am willing to meet with a Revdex.com mediator to remedy the situation. If the Revdex.com likes they can call me at [redacted] during the day or at [redacted] during the evening.
In conclusion, I reject the offer/statement from Lexus of San Antonio. I thank the Revdex.com for the time you have devoted to this.
I will meet with your organization wherever you tell me and at whatever time you say.

The Lexus motto is "the relentless pursuit of perfection"  I suppose I am in pursuit of perfection like Lexus claims they are.  That is why I bought a Lexus in the first place. If they believe in this motto then (see below).  To close this case, I would accept a written statement from Lexus management with words to the effect "If Mr. [redacted]'s Lexus breaks down/dies again like it has seven (7) times in the past, we will replace the vehicle with a new model"

June 2, 2016     From [redacted], Service Director: Mr. [redacted] has had multiple issues with his vehicle not starting.  We have gone out to Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] multiple times and after a jump start, the vehicle is fine for a while. There have been 3 batteries replaced...

in his vehicle.  One of those was an aftermarket battery the customer put in himself.  Our concern is that the vehicle isn’t driven and we have addressed the issue with a possibility of hitting the start button twice putting it in accessory mode and draining the battery. The customer says that never happens.  We did find one time that the seat lumbar switch was stuck in the seat shield, which caused it to create a draw. That was the last repair before this incident.  This last time, the customer went to the gas station and turned off the car and when she tried to start it after refueling it wouldn’t start. They called in and I sent road side to bring the car back not matter what. When the car came back to us, we put our scan tool on it and it showed that the key battery was low. The customer said that the car wouldn’t even turn over.  After we looked into this more, we noticed when the key has a low battery and the customer doesn’t know to put the key fob next to the start button, then it has a chance of not starting.  When Craig put the fob next to the start button it started right up on the first try.  I explained this to the customer and they didn’t seem to understand or acknowledge that as a possible issue.  Every effort has been made from a service department perspective to effectively fix each problem, as it has arisen for Mr. and Mrs. [redacted].   [redacted] Service Director North Park Lexus of San Antonio [redacted]-Selma San Antonio, TX 78216 [redacted]     From [redacted], General Sales Manager: The following notes are in response to the complaint filed with the Revdex.com regarding [redacted]’s 2010 Lexus RX350, VIN [redacted].    Mid to late April I received a phone call from Mr. [redacted] regarding his concerns about service related issues over the last several years.  After some investigating, I recognized that mechanically all of the service related issues had been resolved.  However, most important is customer satisfaction.   This fundamental business objective is why North Park Lexus is an Lexus Elite Dealer for over 21 continuous years.    So I proceeded to invite Mr. [redacted] to the dealership to explore options to abide by his wishes of obtaining a new vehicle for Mrs. [redacted].  I promised concerted effort on my behalf to take extra care towards exploring these options.    On April 25th the [redacted]’s came in to visit with myself and [redacted].  After a pleasant experience test driving new vehicles and exploring different options, in the end the [redacted]’s did not feel that the price discounts offered and more importantly that the trade value offered for the 2010 Lexus RX350 were of any special substantial consideration.   In fact, at first, Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] wanted a brand new car although all service issues had been resolved.  After some conversation they were willing to consider trading the vehicle.  However, the [redacted]’s expectation on trade value was still at least $10,000 over market.  Unfortunately, such expectation was difficult to overcome and certainly even more difficult to oblige.      We are certainly disappointed that we weren’t able to overcome Mr. and Mrs. [redacted]’s expectations.  I am certain that we put forth extraordinary service and effort towards making the [redacted]’s happy.  I’m saddened that they feel any gesture on our behalf may have indicated anything different.      [redacted] General Sales Manager North Park Lexus San Antonio [redacted]-Selma San Antonio, TX  78216 (210) 308-8900
