North Pointe Painting Company Reviews (%countItem)

North Pointe Painting is a great company to work with. We have used them several times and we couldn't be happier! They have done interior and exterior work for us. We would use them again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others.

We recently hired North Pointe Painting to paint the interior of our home and have been more than happy with the results! From start to finish they handled everything with ease. Very professional I made the right choice!

North Pointe Painting agreed in writing (in email) to paint our home in the fall of 2018. *** cashed a deposit check for $1575 and promised to return within two weeks to have her painting crew paint our home. We indicated to her that the house would need to be painted prior to the Winter 2018 because we are moving in the Spring. *** agreed that this would not be a problem. She never showed back up in the week time period (as promised) prior to our signatures on the contract. When I contacted her at the two week mark she indicated that she would not be able to paint our home until January. I told her that would not work for us and at that time she agreed to issue us a full refund ($1575). That was 5.5 months ago. I have called her and texted her multiple times and each time we have contacted her she has lied and told us that the check was in the mail. We will pursue legal action for triple monetary losses if this is not resolved immediately.

North Pointe Painting Company Response • Apr 15, 2019

North Pointe Painting went on an estimate for Mrs. in May 2018, *** didn't contact us until October 2018 to discuss painting the EXTERIOR of her home. At this time she was apologetic and well aware that the weather was changing and not cooperating for exterior painting. She expressed the desire to look at options for painting in the winter as they were contemplating selling their home in the spring. That being said they wanted to do whatever it took to get the home painted in the WINTER prior to spring. We then met for a second time to discuss options that could be used to paint in the winter and her proposal was revised to reflect oil based paint. *** signed a proposal with North Pointe Painting on Thursday November 1, 2018. There was nothing in writing regarding when we would be out to paint the home, only verbal conversations between *** and the company. It was discussed that we would get out within the next couple weeks if weather allowed and if it didn't allow shortly thereafter. *** signed our contract without hesitation. The contract clearly states that she has 7 days to cancel and that we do not cancel or refund deposits based off weather unless a guaranteed scheduled date in writing was broken since it is outside of our control. Unfortunately we received snow early last year and the weather didn't allow for much exterior painting in November. I told *** that we would be out right after the new year or as soon as the weather broke and on November 23 she decided she wanted to cancel her commitment with North Pointe Painting. I spoke to her husband on the phone and explained that we would work on making an exception to refund the deposit (since we didn't have to let them out of contract) but that the sales rep had already been paid on this job since it was past the 7 day cancellation period and that a portion would be deducted from the refund. The ***'s were not happy with this response. Even though we felt we were being generous (having spent so much additional time revising the quote to work for the ***'s and making several trips out to the house to look at the job and meet with the homeowners. Plus being past the cancellation period). Both Mr. & Mrs. then began to harass our sales team and office staff regarding this situation threatening negative reviews, lawsuits etc. Nevertheless, we wanted decided to move forward with the refund and arrangements were made to get the ***'s their money back as originally discussed without deduction for the sales representative as a good faith effort to resolve this issue. Because we are not in the wrong and did not have to let the ***'s out of contract and because we have made arrangements already to repay their deposit we would respectfully request this complaint be removed from the Revdex.com. North Pointe Painting does not feel that it has done anything wrong. Thank you.
