as it states in the complaint agree to fix the wiring harness, we just wanted to do it at our dealership even if it meant paying for a tow from Pennsylvania to Massachusetts. Unfortunatley the customer had already given the dealership the ok to repair the car within a day of filing the complaint, and we never had the chance to look at it. The customer had called and left message's with [redacted] who happened to have been off that day, however no voicemail's or email's were left for the general manager or service manager reguarding this. Since the repair was already completed without us looking at it, the customer felt we should write them out a check for the amount of the repair. Upon further inspection of the [redacted] dealership's orginal repair order it turns out the wiring harness was malfunctioning because it was eaten by mice nearly two months after we had delivered the vehicle. We then spoke to the service deparment at the [redacted] dealership and they confirmed that the wiring harness was indeed eaten by mice and not corroded as it was orginally claimed to be. Unfortuantley we can not be held responsible for any type of physical damage that happens to a vehicle weeks after we have delivered it. We then called the customer to notify them of the situation and they claimed they had no idea that mice had eaten the wiring harness. We understand how frustrating a situation like this can be for a customer and do truly sympathize with them, however we cannot be held financially responsible for issues that are completely unrelated to the service or sales of our vehicles. We do apologize for the 10 day's it took for us the determine what the situation was and how to handle, however this elapsed time was nessacary in determining the truth behind the complaint. We all wish you the best of luck with your [redacted] in the future and hope you can understand why we are not able to compensate you for this inconvenience.
