I absolutely love Dr Reid and the staff at westchester! He truly cares about the animals and it shows! He's gentle and thorough. Everytime I come in I feel I can ask tons of questions and him and his staff are never bothered by them or make me feel rushed. They really do take time with each animal. Fair warning the wait is sometimes long. But he is a quality vet that takes his time so I understand. Just make sure you have a couple hours free so you don't run into scheduling conflicts. His prices are dirt cheap! And they are really good about trying to help you save money while also caring well for your pet. I don't know if other offices upcharge slightly on vet specific food, prescriptions and/or supplies, but I would assume they do as that's standard for most businesses. dr Reid does not! I always compare prices and I just buy my special food from his office cause it's not even cheaper online. Additionally, feel free to contact them and know that they will provide quality, competent care to a really wide variety of animals. Not just your standard house pets. He has a small farm :) on the side of the clinic. And I know he is active with helping out and rescuing local wildlife and caring for such - often for free. I don't know of many vets that are trained not care enough to provide those services and extra trouble for free. That's someone who really cares. Dr Reid is very active in the community and supports many causes - not just animal/vet related. And he is the vet in the area that overwhelmingly provides the most spay/neuter services. Most of the local shelters and rescues use him and he stays and neuters for those organizations for free which is a huge help in controlling the stray populations in our community. There's even shelters an hour away from his office that use his spay/neuter services! Def the busiest and most well known in the nwi wide community. He also works with organizations to help spay/neuter pets from homes that are in financial need. I can't speak enough about this dr and his office. I could go on forever about them. He is a vet that truly cares and does his job for the animals. He's a blessing to the community. The office is so great. You will wait sometimes but dr Reid is worth it! By the way, I am a regular person and not paid to write this at all. I just feel that often the best people go unnoticed when they are the ones helping the most. Dr Reid deserves more recognition than he gets. I HIGHLY recommend taking your pet(s) to dr Reid. He's the best and will take care of them as if they were his own!
