I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.
Sincerely,

I have read the complaint of [redacted] and wish to respond. It is my intention to reach an amicable settlement with [redacted] although I do not necessarily agree with her conclusions or description of what happened. [redacted] brought in her dog [redacted] on 4/*/15 for both a dermatological complaint...

as well as a respiratory complaint. The two most recent prior visits on 1/**/15 and 4/**/14 were for a dermatological problem only (itchy skin). On the office visits of 1/**/15 and 4/**/14 the physical examination revealed that [redacted] had a [redacted] on the left side of the [redacted] although there was no clinical issue at that point. [redacted] was advised of the finding of a [redacted] at both office visits and an [redacted] was recommended to be performed. The purpose of the [redacted] would be to assess the cause of the [redacted] and to determine the overall functionality of the [redacted] and to determine if any medications are needed to a ssist the [redacted]. [redacted] declined to do the [redacted] after being advised at both office visits of 4/**/14 and 1/**/15. On the visit in question on 4/*/15, [redacted] indicated [redacted] had itchy skin again as well as [redacted] and some difficulty breathing. Given the history of [redacted] previously noted, a chest x-ray was taken. The findings of the x-ray were a slight increase in [redacted] size but no signs of [redacted]. Signs of left sided [redacted] on an x-ray include the presence of [redacted] ([redacted]) and /or pleural effusion ([redacted]). Neither of these things were seen on the x-ray taken on 4/*/15. [redacted] was treated for a [redacted] type issue with appropriate medication. Unfortunately, with mitral valve regurgitation (the source of [redacted]'s [redacted]) [redacted] and left sided [redacted] failure can develop quite rapidly. [redacted] never contacted me to follow up and tell me [redacted] was doing worse and allow me the opportunity to run further tests (repeat x-rays and an [redacted]) to properly [redacted]. As stated previously [redacted] declined our earlier recommendations to have an [redacted] done on [redacted]. Having said all of that, I do understand [redacted]'s point of view and realize she does not have the same understanding of cardiac physiology as I do. I am willing to meet the terms of her settlement for the sake of fairness even though I feel she doesn't truly understand the medical aspect of it. I will call her to discuss this with her. [redacted]

Review: My dog was taken to North Shore because he was not doing well. He was having issues breathing and [redacted]. After numerous visits and numerous tests and xrays he was given medication for a problem that wasnt the issue. They informed us that he had [redacted] and [redacted] when in reality he had [redacted] issues and should have been given medication for his [redacted] not for URI. He was taken to another vet yesterday and we were told he had [redacted]. My dog was suffering for over a week because of the negligence of North Shore Animal Hospital vets.Desired Settlement: I would like a copy of his file at no charge as well as a full refund on whatever tests they claimed they took. We were charged hundreds of dollars for issues that were only made worse.
