This feedback is with regards to my recent visit to the North Shore Emergency Room on May 23rd of 2014, which resulted in my admission to the North Shore Medical Center for further evaluation & possible treatment I must say this was by far the most horrible experience I have ever had in my life dealing with trying to receive care from a hospital I was made to feel as if I had a condition the North Shore Hospital staff did not want to treat, was unable to treat or refused to treat which is what it seemed more of It was terribly awful for me to come to my local community hospital's emergency room for care just to have my blood taken, test run just to be admitted and be released after days with the same condition and no answers as to what caused my condition and not even a prescription for pain It's a shame that the admitting doctor was quick to sign off of an assignment he made a call on before finding out if my doctor was even availableIt's as if he wasn't aware of the mission & vision statements North Shore so proudly have posted on their website He didn't care that I was a patient in need of care Even after it was communicated to him my doctor was away on vacation and the attending fidoctor wasn't responding, he still did not show up to see to it that I was being cared for No one really seemed to care that I was racking up a bill for pain medications, meals & hospital stay Not even some one of the nurses that clearly told me that the hospital doctors sign-off as a courtesy to the patients doctor to allow them to see their patientWhatever happened to the "courtesy" of the [redacted] patient If the patients doctor is on vacation and stadoctor is just to lazy to answer, does the hospital staff just continue to drug you up and let you die or do the take pride in the mission statement & vision and get and provide the patient with the care they desperately came to receive? Or do the hospital staff say forget it we're still getting paid no matter what level of quality service, care & efficiency they provideI can not express enough of the disgust I feel by my visit to this hospital and I am truly saddened that my own local community hospital can be this distasteful and not even care about the patients they are trusted to care for I will never visit this hospital again and or have any affiliation with it's staff I will not be following up with any of the attending physicians or any physician in that matter that is connected with this hospital I am changing my doctor and because of this hospital, it's staff and affiliates my doctor has lost a patient but I'm sure that doesn't even matter because all we (the patients) are is just another number adding to the dollar bills the bigots like North Shore Hospital adds to their pockets dad day-out
