Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I did receive a refund check of $50 in the mail today.  However, my insurance co did not tell them I had X-rays because I did not have the same thing done.  Also, my ins co called the drs office and spoke to [redacted] and explained to her roughly 5 weeks ago that they never receive explanation if benefits from GHI, that she could login and manually print one if that is all she needed to refund me the money.  The office chose not to do that.  I had called half a dozen times prior to being told the dr would be going away , and this issue could have been resolved much earlier on if they just went online.  This drs office apparently has a reputation for doing this and I would never recommend them to someone seeking help for [redacted].

(X-ray). We call the insurance company before the patient comes in to retrieve her benefits. Her insurance company told us she was not eligible for the X-ray we were going to take because she had a previous one done within a three year period (which she has limitations of). Patient understood and we charged her what the insurance company would have paid if she was eligible, $50.00. She called me in June to tell me the insurance company had paid and would like a refund. I told her as soon as I receive the explanation of benefits with the payment from the insurance company I will be happy to reimburse her.
Unfortunately within that time [redacted] had gone on vacation to Israel for a few weeks and I had no access to the mail or to refunding the patient. I explained this to [redacted] and apologized for the inconvenience but [redacted] wouldn't be back until the [redacted] of July and at that time I would mail her a check immediately. The check was sent to her on July **,2014 in the amount of $50.00.
I hope this clarifies what had transpired. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. ###-###-####

Review: I saw [redacted] for the first time on May [redacted] for tmj issues. When I scheduled the appt I told the receptionist that I had recently seen the regular dentist and he did basic X-rays. I was told they were going to call to check what was done, and at most they would charge me the $50 fee for X-rays. I thought nothing of it when I paid out of pocket. However, I then received an explanation of benefits from Cigna stating they made full payment to the dr. I immediately called the ins company who said it was an electronics fund transfer and the dr had the money. I called the drs office and was told they needed the explanation in order to refund me and it would take no more than 2 weeks. I've called several times and spoke with [redacted] in the office who said she had not received the info yet. I called again this past Tuesday and was told the dr was away for the next 2 weeks and she cannot do anything till he returns. My ins co called today and told them that did to electronic transfer of money the dr never receives an eob. They then told the ins co the dr would be away till 7/**, clearly more than 2 weeks. I keep getting pushed off. I have the receipt that I paid cash, along with the info from the insurance co. I just want my money refunded.Desired Settlement: Want my $50 for X-rays refunded since the dr collected payment from myself on 5/*/14 as well as from Cigna for the same.
