Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I am attaching a copy of the e mail from nothstar dodge service advisor [redacted] " CUSTOMER BROUGHT VEHICLE TO NORTH STAR DODGE FOR A COMPUTER FLASHCUSTOMER HAD OWN PART ASKED WHAT IT WOULD COST TO INSTALL AND PROGRAM ,THE ADVISOR QUOTED INSTALLED AND PROGRAMED CUSTOMER ASKED IF HE INSTALLED WHAT WOULD THE COST BE 109.95SO CUSTOMER INSTALLED PCM, PUSHED CAR OF THE DRIVE , REPAIR ORDER WAS ASSIGNED TO A TECK,TECK WAS BLOCKED IN , SO HE PROGRAMMED STARTED VEHICLE IT RAN BAD , SO HE TURN VEHICLE OFF TURNED IN REPAIR ORDERCUSTOMER WAS CALLED TO PICK UP VEHICLE , WHEN BRINGING VEHICLE UP IT WAS DUMPING FUEL THREW EXHAUST WROTE UP A NEW RO , TO FIND OUT WHAT HAPPEN , HAD CODES FOR PO-– INJECTOR # 1, AND IS OPEN ,MAP-P0-108PO-TPS HIGH,PO-TRANS CONTROLLER HIGHVEHICLE HYDRO LOCKED DUE TO EXCESSIVE FUEL IN CYLINDER TO WHEN IT BENT THE RODS [redacted] YOU CAN CONTACT ME AT NORTH START DODGE ###-###-#### " Mr [redacted] either has no knowledge on how vehicles work or he is just giving excuses to avoid taking responsibility for what happened to my vehicle first, My vehicle got to the dealership running, he engine was runningthe only reason we needed the new computer reprogrammed was because the electronic key code was being losta locksmith recommended to replace the computerthe car was running fine [redacted] was the service adviser that took the car inHe did not noted anything unusual about the car when he tok it inthey reprogrammed the computer and called my wife to let her know that the car was READYthey never mentioned that something was wrong with the car when my wife tried to pick up the car, they notice that the car was running bad (they never mention that when they call us to pick up the car)I spoke to [redacted] and asked him to diagnose itThat was on a Thursday, they did not called backI called [redacted] on Monday to see if he had diagnosed the carhe told me that the tech did not have time yetI called them back Tuesday and Wednesdayfinally the told me on Thursday that the car needed a new engine because the car had hydrolocked (nice word to scare customers that do ot know anything about cars) THe car can not hydrolock on fuel because if the car is not running the fuel pump is not pumping gas and the starter does not have enough power to bend a rodthey know that they took my car init was runningno noises or issues something happen while they had the carin fact different techs work on it, one did the programming of the pcm and another one the diagnosis on the car I want my car running, nothing was wrong with the engineI find hard to believe that this is the way this dealership does business I hope this gets resolved in a amicable manner, if not, this will serve as a warning to future customers Regards, [redacted]

Somebody did something Engines do not hydrolock with fuel and bend connecting rods just by trying to start itI think this will go to court or the public opinion Regards, [redacted]

We have repaired *** ***'s vehicle according to Chrysler Motors procedures. *** *** has picked up the vehicle. We have forwarded all of the repair documents and the customer's concerns to Chrysler Motors for their review

Ms*** brought her vehicle to us to repair after another shop was unable to fix the vehicle. We diagnosed and repaired the vehicle and charged Ms*** $for the repair, $for the tow bill, and $for the rental vehicle for a total of $355.16. Ms*** believes that
we received her $plus additional money from the warranty company. We did not receive any money from the warranty company as they had paid it to the previous repair shop. That is why the other repair shop reimbursed Ms***. North Star Dodge paid the rental and tow bills and the balance of $was our charge for the actual repair to the vehicle. We do not owe any other money to Ms*** as we did not receive any other funds toward this repair

We contacted the customer to see if we could resolve the issues but the customer was unreasonable. He came to the dealership and chose to return our vehicle and purchase a vehicle from another dealer

first, My vehicle got to the dealership running, he engine was running. the only reason we needed the new computer reprogrammed was because the electronic key code was being lost. a locksmith recommended to replace the computer. the car was running fine. [redacted] was the service adviser that took the car in. The vehicle is currently in our service department and is waiting on a ¼ glass and new carpet. We have made repeated attempt to correct and provided customer with alternate transportation. We have contacted the area manager and she declined providing hard doors for customer we have even had the...

Chrysler field tech out to inspect and assist us.I have just been instructed to send info to the area Mgr to she if she would be willing to offer a trade assist or something else to help our customer out.

Mr. [redacted] had asked us to program a part that he installed and supplied without allowing us to do any type of diagnosis on the vehicle.  Because we did not supply the part and he did not allow us to do all of the work on the vehicle we can not be held responsible for the issues he is having with the vehicle now.  We only programmed a part that he installed and supplied and the programming could not have caused the problem with the engine.  We tried to assist this customer but it is clear that we will not be able to satisfy this customer.

I am rejecting this response because:I have received a loaner car but I should be compensated with days I had to miss work and my son being late due to being stuck to one car. It's just been a big inconvenience on my end!!!

Mr. [redacted] brought his car into us after he or someone he knows installed a used PCM (Powertrain Control Module) in his vehicle.  The PCM requires a dealer to program the Vehicle Identification number, mileage and other information about the vehicle into the PCM.  Our technician did the...

programming as Mr. [redacted] requested.  When the PCM was programmed the vehicle was running rough so we advised the customer of that fact.  Mr. [redacted] asked that we diagnosis the problem and we told him that the car had flooded out and there was gas in the oil.  The reprogramming did not cause the problem, it could have existed before he asked us to reprogram the PCM.  We did not do anything else to the vehicle but program the PCM.

I am rejecting this response because:  when I took it in for the oil change. My main issue was the transmission again.  And my oil change light had come on.  They told me that they could not locate a problem with the transmission at that time also.  It had been surging since they repaired it.  It should also on on the work order.  For some reason they told their headquarters that I had not taken it in again, possibly so I could not claim it as a lemon.  As I had stated the gas mileage gas also been 5 miles below what it was getting before they worked on it and it is not running good since 10 May which is AFTER they worked on it.  And they dont see any codes so they will not check the transmission manually because of that.  Perhaps they did not put it back correctly and that is the problem.  I feel soo unsafe in this vehicle and if the refuse to fix it they should just give me my money back!   I did also take it to another Dodge dealer because their headquarters recommended a new set of eyes they first said they did not want to work on what another dealers work worked on but since they had a case # on it they took it in and put it on the machine which showed no problems.  The man that brought me home in my vehicle said he did see the steering wheel shaking.  So they just annotated no problems on the invoice.
