Initial Business Response /* (1000, 17, 2016/07/25) */
Ms.[redacted] called us to repair an MTD and Troybilt riding and an old tiller. We shouldn't have even worked on her machines when we met her she was very unfriendly and upon return of her machines continued to be very unfriendly and...

confrontational. The tiller was brought back in perfect operating condition and was able to be started on one pull of the rope. The MTD mower was brought back and was shown cutting grass while she watched.Unfortunately her yard was very rough, when the blades hit rocks, dirt or other debris that will cause the belt to slip off the pulley. Ms.S was instructed to raise the deck to a higher setting to avoid hitting debris but she refused. Also on the MTD someone had removed the model ID and identifying number and with the age of the machine made finding parts very difficult.Ms.s knew the overgrown field she was attempting to mow with these small machines would not work but she did not want to hire a brush hog the first time after the mowers had been torn up by the cutting of the field. The machines were then picked up and worked on again free of charge and demonstrated them upon return in perfect working order. The price she was charged for repair pick up and delivery of 3 machines was very cheap. The second mower a Troybilt was returned in perfect working condition having been neglected of care for a long time and this machine was also not designed to mow a rough field. The friend of Ms.S Jim was not knowledgeable in the repair of mower or engines.I spoke to Jerry at B&L Outdoors and he had no idea who Ms.S was nor did he ever talk to her about repairs on her machines he is in the parts department and has nothing to do with the service of equipment.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 19, 2016/08/02) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
After reading Mr. [redacted]'s delayed response, it's evident he has no intention of resolving this complaint. It's also quite evident that instead of offering anything positive to move this into a positive direction, Mr. [redacted] has chosen to lie in order to defend himself and attack me.
Photographs will show the facts if Mr. [redacted] continues to react untruthfully and assume others have no knowledge. His Lying simply adds credence to what I am describing about [redacted] and Doc's Lawn Mower.
I'm not willing to drag this out if I am the one and only person trying to seek a resolution, and it certainly appears that way. Small Claims may be the only answer for me and in preparation for that possibility, I end this with the Taney County Small Claims forms in hand.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 25, 2016/08/15) */
I am willing to return the money to Ms [redacted] for the work we did on her 2 tractors. I just want to put this behind me.
In the interest of fairness I don't think I should return the money for the tiller, since it was working perfectly. Just let me know where to send the money too and I will send a postal money order.
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 27, 2016/08/17) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
An acceptable resolution is a FULL REFUND. Considering the treatment I received; no estimate provided to me, dumping my Tractor Mower after I requested a call prior to re-delivery, reporting on this Revdex.com forum totally untruthful information in defense of the facts I presented. The novice attempt to repair my machines, using wire instead of clips, stating a tune-up was a simple cleaning of the plugs, claiming work had been done that was not, incorrect placement of an idler pulley, incorrect belts that continued to come loose, burn, fray then break etc. The length of time and costs I've incurred as a result of my dealing with Mr. [redacted]; Having to hire someone to Bush hog my 5 acres, at a price of $150, that I could not mow, having to solicit the friend, whom you claimed didn't know anything, to completely re-belt the mowers and change the idler pulley from the incorrect position to the right one (which by the way contributed to the belts being thrown), purchase clips to replace the baling wire Mr. [redacted] used, and Oil to replace the mix of old oil that had been topped off with new oil constituting an "Oil Change". Lastly, the numerous hours I have had to devote in the attempt to resolve this issue which should have never taken place had Mr. [redacted] and his company, Doc's Lawn Mower, been reputable from the very start. My hopes are that anyone looking for their lawn mower to be repaired, or any other service, check the Revdex.com as well as the public records for small claims court. Unfortunately, it was after the fact that I checked both of these. A fair resolution is a FULL REFUND of $325. In small claims court I will ask for more money to cover all the above costs and time, plus court fees.
