The mower in question was brought in on 7/01/not 6/01/as statedThe mower was brought in after it had hit something and had a bad vibrationWe were asked to do an estimate at which time we determined that the crankshaft was bentThis estimate was done without taking apart the mowerWe called the customer with the estimate amount and actually tried to talk her out of repairing the unit as the repair price was higher than what we could sell her a new mower forWe were advised to proceed with the repair which then required us to remove and disassemble the engine, which we didAfter we received the new crankshaft from John Deere it was discovered that the crankshaft was made wrong and would need to be reorderedThe customer was called and informed of this and then stated that she would be picking up the mower because she was not happyThe charge she received was the amount of time we spent taking the mower apart, we were not paid to put the mower back togetherIt made no sense to reassemble an engine with a bent crankshaft as the mower would not have run for very long plus the price of all new gasketsWe told her that the original quote was still good but we had to wait for the new crankshaftThe customer declined and she was only charged for the work performed
