North Valley Plastic Surgery

The journey through my breast reduction surgery started when I was 19, and North Valley Plastic surgery was the establishment I chose to perform the task. The excitement started from the moment I stepped into the office. Everything looked so professional: the ladies at the front desk were beautiful, the interior was decorated to perfection, and doctor [redacted] was fantastic. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. When my mother and I went in to talk specifics about pricing and how the surgery was going to go, it got even better. We talked about laser scar removal, if anything bad happened, insurance coverage…every stepped was questioned and answered thoroughly. The day of the surgery came and went. I had scar splitting after two weeks, but this didn’t phase the doctor. He said that we would fix it right up.
It just so happened that I had to wait till after January, and as everyone knows, that is when the insurance gets restarted and fees and deductibles start to add up. This is also when North valley plastic surgery took a hard left turn. Out came the hidden fees that we were not aware of, the knowledge of this being an entirely different surgery than my original one, the front desk ladies and my mother literally fought with each other until Dr. [redacted] settled for half of my deductible for compensation. I was put under local anesthesia during the reconstruction surgery and have never felt so much pain. I was awake and crying for three hours while he “fixed” my [redacted]. I had two follow up visits and was never called again. Fast forward to almost a year and half later…. The bill finally came, and it was 8,000 dollars over the total we agreed on. It was next to impossible to get a straight answer from anyone. Numerous voicemails and days passed with stress and anger building up. No one knew what to say to us or how to fix it. Not to mention the laser scar removal was completely out of the picture at this point. There was so much confrontation about fixing my original surgery with the splitting; scar removal was far from the “package” deal I was originally promised.
This experience at North Valley Plastic Surgery made me feel like I was hustled. They promised me one thing and then did another, they told me how happy I would be with their service, but I was left with scars and a bill that was more than my student loans. I wouldn’t ever recommend this establishment to anyone. Just like the office they reside in and the ladies they employ to run the front desk, its all a fcedil;ade. They make you feel welcomed and reassured but then completely drop you once a problem arises. All I wanted was to feel comfortable with my [redacted] and my body, but in all honesty, I don’t even know if it was even worth the trouble that followed.
