This patient was not sent to collections because the wrong provider for services was listed on our insurance claim to his insurance companyNorth Washington Dental ultimately turned the account over to Integral Recoveries because our statements to *** were returned as undeliverableWhen ***
came to us the February for a visit, the claim for that visit was billed under *** *** as this was ***'s selected doctor*** *** moved to a practice of his ownOn this visit *** *** saw ***The claim went out with *** *** on the claim as the providerBut the insurance already knew by *** ***'s correspondence that he was now practicing at his own facility and that we no longer could file claims with his name.We found out the claim went out incorrectly and attempted to re-file the claim under *** ***THE PROBLEM IS THIS*** was sent a check for out of network benefits to be paid to him by Delta Dental, *** being the insured subscriber for the visit in questionONCE *** cashed this check, our hands were tiedWe cannot ask for details of the check, explanation of benefits or attempt to reconcile the issue as Delta Dental WILL NOT SHARE Details of this visit with us as we are now not recognized as provider for his dental servicesIt has been explained to *** several times that we are contracted with Delta DentalWe are contracted to provide services for specific reimbursementThis contract holds us to fair pricing for services renderedWe are contractually bound to the agreed feesWe suggested he return a check to Delta in the amount that he cashed, along with a letter asking them to credit the check to his visit they paid forWE CANNOT DO ANYTHING TO ASSIST *** WITH THISThis was suggested to *** more than onceWe suggested this be done back in September of To which time we had not billed him for these services as we waited for him to send Delta a check thus allowing us to re-file on his behalfHe had been sent statement, but we were trying to rectify this for him and for us!Once the statement were being sent, which was May, not until after we exhausted all our efforts and never receiving any instigated phone calls from ***We did not hear from ***, we could not get information from Delta as we are not the listed providerWe then received our statement in the mail as undeliverableNow that we were not able to reach *** with an outstanding balance of $we turned to Integral Collections*** then called but only after Integral contacted himNow *** is asking us to write off part of his balance to work for his purposesWe pout a lot of work into this account, almost years worth of workWe waited for *** to help us help himThat did not happenAs stated before, we are contracted with Delta to charge and accept the fees as contracted.Had *** helped us help him back in September 2015, we could have cleared this upWe are now over the :timely filing period' as defined by Delta DentalWe have months to file for services renderedBecause Delta has the date of service as 'paid' there is nothing more we can doIf *** would have sent them a check for the 'paid' amount, we might have had a chance.This is a very unfortunate situationWe were patiently waiting for *** to send Delta a check so we could refile for his services and clear his accountTHIS DID NOT HAPPEN
