I was sold an extended warranty that was completely misrepresented by the [redacted]. When I tried to use it and found out I couldn't, I went back and was told the [redacted] left. On April 18th I was told by the current [redacted], [redacted], that the old [redacted] had misrepresented their products and services on several occasions, and that he was currently trying to resolve another customer's issue with the previous [redacted], but there was nothing they could do for me. They were not taking any responsibility for their former employee's actions, and told me I was stuck with my purchase. They made absolutely no effort to compensate me for my troubles or frustration. I registered complaints online in the [redacted] complaint format to the[redacted], the customer service department and to [redacted] on April 18th, but to this date have not received one response.Product_Or_Service: extended warrentyDesired SettlementI would like the scratches in my car repaired, as I was promised they would be, under the so called extended warranty I thought I was purchasing.Business Response We have received your concern regarding your purchase of the extended warranty. I had the chance to look further into your concern. You purchased the scratch and dent protection from us which covers minor scratches and dings not any major damage that is done to your vehicle. You were provided copies of the documents you signed that clearly state what is covered under scratch and dent and what is not. However, car accidents or major damage is not covered. We have been in contact with you and you stated you were not asking for repairs but instead addressing concerns. We appreciate your feedback and any other feedback you wish to provide in regards to dealership employees; we will look into and properly handle internally. If you have any further concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me at [redacted] or by email at [redacted]Best Regards, [redacted] Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)My original complaint was that the former [redacted] misrepresented the product he sold me. I have since been told the product will only cover me at the end of the lease, not during the lease. The response above is different, it states something about car accidents, I was never in an accident and never said I was. I had some minor scratches in my car that have since been buffed out by a different dealership. Northampton VW never offered to buff the scratches out, and it was something done easily while I waited. Furthermore, Northampton VW never apopolized for the actions of their former employee, and never offered me the opportunity to return the product I was sold under a false description. The ONLY thing Northampton VW has done on numerous occasions, and continues to do in this response is say "You signed the document" which is their way of avoiding any responsibility in this at all. I was verbally offered a product described very differently, to which I agreed to purchase, and then at the end of the tranasction I was asked to sign a stack of documents in which this was included. Shame on Northampton VW, they could have easily been the star here but chose to make the consumer look wrong. That's bad business, I have a lease up in 3 years and you could have easily retained my for the next purchase with a small token of good faith. I wasn't even offered a cup of coffee when I came there in person to discuss this, I was just shown the door. Final Business Response You have spoken to two mangers and our [redacted] who all tried to help you. However,you were unsatisfied with everyone who you spoke to. We apologize that the original damage you showed us on your vehicle was not covered; however, if there is any damage on your vehicle that is covered under the warranty our dealership is more than happy to repaired that under the warranty. As for the former employee, you have signed the agreement which details exactly what is covered and what is not. We do not believe it was misrepresented to you. We apologize for any misunderstanding.

On [redacted] 2014 Northampton VW billed me [redacted] for diagnosis of a problem I had been in to have fixed on [redacted] and the rest for parts.The remaining [redacted] was for parts to be installed in the future at an appointment on [redacted] which I cancelled later that day, [redacted] because I did not like that service had missed the check engine light problem on [redacted] especially since I paid [redacted] on [redacted] and they had done a 90K checkup "per Volkswagon criteria." I asked for a refund for the parts which had not been ordered yet (per phone conversation with parts manager) and was told that they were unable to credit my credit card and that a check woule be issued for the [redacted] plus the[redacted] "shop charge for repair order" fee, per the service manager. I have emailed twice on their "contact us"page and have neither heard from them in return nor received a check. I would like my refund for parts and the [redacted] fee as promised on [redacted] 2014.Desired SettlementI would like the entire bill from [redacted] refunded, but I do not expect it. I do expect and am owed [redacted] for parts never ordered and never installed.Business Response On [redacted] 2014 a check in the amount of [redacted] was sent to Mr [redacted]. Please contact the dealership's customer service representative, [redacted], if you have yet to receive this check. We apologize for the delay and appreciate your patience. Also, the dealership never recieved the online requests so if there is anything further needed, Please contact [redacted] at XXX-XXX-XXXX.Thank You Consumer Response I am now satisfied as I have received the refund
