September 13, 2017Dear [redacted] :We received a complaint from the Revdex.com regarding the above, Please be advised of the following,Your rent from the initial date of move in was $750,00/per month and your security deposit was equal to one (1) month of rent totaling $750,00, as you can see by your account ledger (enclosed) that you ONLY paid $for the entire year your resided at Northbrook Apartments. You did not pay $for a security depositThe lease was obviously typed up with the incorrect amount (and errors are unfortunately made sometimes); however that does not change the fact that your rent (paid and charged) was only $750.00, the ledger attached is the proof of charges vsthe payments made. You were in fact refunded the entire amount of security deposit in which was paid; there were no deductions for this whatsoever, You were not given a credit for the air conditioning that was not working, you were given a gift card, since you renewed your lease for an additional year and that Credit was used towards monthly rent for 3/rentYou were also given off your first month's rent in 8/as that was the special that was running during that time.Unless you have payments (upon your move in) that total more than what you paid vs, what you were charged, then please provide us with this, however we do in fact have copies of your move in monies and they are equivalent to the charge of $per month for rent/security.There are no hidden charges or payments on your account and you made numerous payments via web for your balance due each and every month. You are not due any further refund as again; this was NOT what was paid.I have submitted this letter and a copy of your account ledger to the Revdex.com providing them proof of this and they are being asked to close this issue. You resided at Northbrook Apartments from until August of If you were not in fact happy with residing here at that time, then why did you continue to renew your lease agreement with Northbrook?I hope this answers your questions regarding,Thank youSincerely,Management of Northbrook Apartments

Management sent out multiple notices that work was being completed around the area in which the tenants car was parked, upon the contractors arriving on-site several cars (due to notices being sent out) were towed from the area in order to have this scheduled work completed An outside contractor was paid and this work could not be reschedule due to a hefty cost to the complex regardingIn regards to the intercom system, this has thus far been repaired and the intercom is working properly for the tenant Parts had to be located due to the age of the items and then had to special order them in order to complete this We will not issue Last’s Month’s rent as this is held and was explained during lease signing that this will be used towards tenants last month of residency at the community is she so wishes to non-renew her lease agreement with us As far as reimbursing for the towing, that is not something we can do as we do not charge for the towing as that is another outside contractor and they were called out in order to have this area cleared again in order to complete the necessary scheduled work.We strive and are continuing to make Northbrook a proud place to call home and we have done numerous repairs and improvements to the property since taking over management We will continue to do so as quickly and as efficiently as possible

September 21, 2017Dear [redacted]:We are 100% rejecting this response. Please be advised that if [redacted] has proof other than what I am submitting today in regards to her beginning payments, then she is welcome to provide them to me including the backs of the money orders/checks etc. showing they were cashed on our behalf, however to simplify here is the breakdown on her move in date in 2014 also proving all payment shown up until 9-3-14 payment which in fact was paid via web payment from [redacted], we are in no way trying to cover any tracks, we provided you with a copy of her account ledger and now we are supplying you with her initial move in monies in which were paid. Again the lease was incorrectly written however payments and charges are correct.Move in Date/Lease Begin Date: 8-1-14Application Fee $35.00                              Charged 3-7-14 Application Fee $35.00                              Paid 3-7-14Holding Fee: $300.00                                Paid 3-11-14 (holding fee goes toward balance due move in costs)This holding fee of $300 left a credit on [redacted]'s account until 7-24-14 whereas additional payments (attached) were paid.$300.00             Beginning Credit effective             3-11-14 $750.00             Charged security deposit              7-24-14 $450.00             Balance due on account                7-24-14$150.00             Payment towards account             7-29-14      (via CC)$300.00             Balance due on account                7-29-14$750.00             Rent charged (1st Rent Charge)     8-1-14$375.00            1/2 off 1 month's rent                     8-1-14$675.00            Balance due                                     8-1-14$840.00            Payment towards account               8-1-14       (via MO)$165.00            Credit balance                                  8-1-14$750.00            Rent charged                                    9-1-14$585.00            Payment towards account                9-3-14      (via WEBPAY) - 0 -                Balance due entering into                10-1-14 RentNow according to the ledger and the payments attached this reflects true facts, unless for some reason between the move in date and the 9-1-14 rent vs. payments made and tenant has more receipts (including the backs of checks/money orders) showing we cashed anything else besides what we are showing in this time frame, we will be more than happy to review. Until such time, the account which was paid and is in fact correct, we refunded [redacted] the FULL security which was paid of $750.00.Please see all attached copies of checks/web payments and money orders that coincide with transactions (i.e. money order #'s etc.)So with all that being said and by providing you with all necessary documentation and proof kindly close this issue as there is no additional refund due to tenant. We are not going to refund someone who paid what was returned to them.Thank you.Sincerely,Management of Northbrook Apartments

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: I have pictures after they "fixed" the problem, drywall and such unpainted with mold still present. I have moved out a few days ago, and discovered mold now growing on my furniture. They do not care about the well being on their tenants. I have sent them an email with pictures of my couch that now has mold growing on it, where mold was growing on the respective wall behind it. The furniture set cost me $698, and is only sold as a set. She has not attempted to contact me, and I will gladly show phone logs to prove it. If she has, it was made from a phone number that is not the apartment complex, and left no message regarding a different number. Effective June 1st I will no longer be a resident at that complex. I thoroughly believe the state should be involved in an inspection.
