Review: I contacted this company last July about a loan for 400.00. I have without fail complied and paid on time bi monthly since July 2014. As of 1/30/2015, paid 1576.00. This company despite my on time payments, continues to call regarding payment, and the amount is increasing by the day, despite never missing a payment. According to the original contract, I should have completed the loan 3 months ago in full. This company continues to withdraw usual amounts of money if not every week every other week. In the contract, it is one specific amount every 2 weeks. Not only are they paid plus interest, they are withdrawing from my account, when they are not expected to every time a different amount, which has caused me to pay an overwhelming am out of bank fees. I suffered a heart attack a year ago, and the stress in trying to amicably work this out has failed, and my health is deteriorating as a result.Desired Settlement: I want the contract honored and a letter stating they are paid in full. As well as to not ever go into my account ever

Review: I had a payday loan with this company for $350 and was charged $105 for the loan fee. I contacted them several times to draft the full loan and fee out of my account totaling $455.00. Instead of them taking $455, they deducted $105 on 1/15 and $455 on 1/16 and although they see both transactions on their end, they are refusing to reverse the $105 charge without a copy of my bank statement. I have explained to them that I do not receive statements and it would take 7-10 days to get one by mail. In addition, I am not comfortable furnishing my bank details with them and I shouldn't have to when they have admitted to seeing both transactions on their end. This is THEFT!Desired Settlement: I would like my $105 put back into my account.

Review: Borrowed $400 Sept 5, 2013, after $1100 of payments I got a call in May 2014 and was told I owed another $429. I asked why after a year? I was told there was a glitch in their system and now they need to collect an additional amount. I asked when did I agree to pay for a year and when I payed over $1100 todate. I asked to hear the recording where I agreed to this type of repayment which I sent to [redacted] at [redacted] on May 27, 2014. I have not heard from anyone on my statement and now they withdrew $112 today and my Bank put a stop payment on the transaction. I call today and spoke to [redacted]/Northcash Supervisor and I again asked to hear to get a copy of the recording. I have not heard back from her and she stated she would call me back.Desired Settlement: I would hope they could provide the recording and documents to prove to me I agreed to the terms of paying until whenever they feel they can collect on a $400 loan. I feel this finance company has taken advantage of myself and mostlikely alot of others out there.

Review: I took out a loan of $500 from them because I needed to move. I made my payments and my last payment in December 2013. I received an email stating that they're computer system is down and they will skip one of my payments. I was ok with that because my last payment was in December. Now this week I went to check my bank statement and they started to take out money this week. I gave them a call about this issue and the lady said they have been sending and calling me about my payments but I haven't received anything since the last time I spoke with them in December. Then she switches up the story stating we don't send out anything. What's the truth?!?? I don't think it is right to start taking out money without notification and definitely not wait till a year later and say that their system was down. It's not right at all. If I had additional payments, does this mean that I am being charge a interest since last year!?! What kind of business is this.Desired Settlement: Do not charge my account if I had already paid the loan. They waited a year to take out money that does not belong to them.

Review: I was approved for a $500.00 loan June 2013 at which $130.00 was taken out twice a month until December 2013. At $2,210.00 I figured it was settled when no payment was taking out in January. However in February 2014 they began taking payments out again I called to resolve and their only response was "they could not send me a copy of my payments...that is not how they work, I just need to check my bank account" I closed out the account they kept getting into AFTER in March they attempted to withdraw $1240.00 I opened a new account. At the present time NorthCash (Northe Cash, Lend Grren) is calling me AT LEAST 5 times a day. They are harassing me and I need this company to be exploited so that they will not continue to do this to others.Desired Settlement: I am wanting at least half of the payments they continued to take unlawfully. Which would be no less than $1,100.00

Hi,

As was discussed with [redacted] on May 19th, I am the new Customer Care Manager and complaints received in this mailbox were not received by me. [redacted] was kind enough to provide me with credentials so that I may address any issues and he assured me that all outstanding complaints (2) would be update to reflect a current date.

We have reversed the outstanding amount owed on this loan; $400.00. Our Customer Care agents fully explain interest calculations to all of our customers so that they understand that this is not the cheapest form of borrowing and that each time their loan is renewed finance costs continue to accrue against the balance owed.

We trust that this sincere gesture on our part will satisfy Ms. [redacted].

Review: North Star Finance made a verbal agreement to loan me $400 dollars and I would end up paying $520 for the service. I have completed the $520 payment. Now there saying I have a interest rate of 823.6 annual percentage rate with a finance charge of $2805 for a total of $3205 dollars. I never signed a document agreeing to such a high interest rate and I am certain I have been miss lead by North Star Finance and they continue to charge me payments out of my bank account for the amount they say I owe them.Desired Settlement: As of 09/18/2013 North Star Finance has deducted $90 dollars more than was originally agreed therefore North Star Finance should return the $90 dollars and end the agreement that was made for the $400 dollars that where loan and the final bill of $520 dollars that have been made.

Ms. [redacted].

Review: I had paid off a loan and then after being paid in full, the above company continued to withdraw off my account. I caught the error and was told I would have a refund in three business days; which never happened. I had to call to inquire of my refund again which then I was told hadn't been processed and would take a additional 3 business days or I would have to upload my checking records to them or reapply for a loan and get 12% off. Really I would never let them into my account again, cause it's not there business, I just heard lie after lie and then the finish product remained that my account had been robbed out of 111.00, which I had to pay late fees to the water company, cause that was the money I needed 4 that. I am a sinle parent and should not have to deal with company's that have no regards for humans.Desired Settlement: I should receive my 111.00 back and a monetary gift for my troubles. I will never use this company again.

Review: This company lends money at well over the 36% allowed for loans in my state. I have paid them back well over 300% of the initial loan amount not including fees and other charges. According to them, I have only just begun to pay them back. I have consulted with the NC Department of Justice who has notified me that the Attorney General's Office has stated that payday loans are illegal in North Carolina and despite how much they harass me over the phone and by calling my employer, they cannot be enforced.Desired Settlement: 1) I want this company to stop harassing me via telephone and email. 2) I also want them to provide documentation stating that my debt is paid in full.

Review: I had to unfortunately take out a payday loan from North Cash/North Star Financial. I filled out the paper work online, and the amount I applied for was denied, so I was told to call. When I called them, the lady said I was approved for $500.00. I said that was fine, and she scheduled, or so I thought, the total amount of $650.00 to come out of my checking account 4 different times, at $162.50 a time. The loan was approved on 1/30/15.2 payments of $150 came out on 2/25 and 3/11. I didn't think anything of the diffence in payments since I've had some take out more on the first payments and less on the later payments. I get an e-mail from them and ask them my balance, they say I still owe them $650 (after these 2 payments of $150). I start questioning them. They say I signed papers for an "installment loan", with the end payments totaling $4790.00 ending on 10/20/2016. This is NOT what the lady and I discussed on the phone.Between e-mailing and calling them, they keep insisting this is what I signed up for, and signed the papers on. The papers that were signed were signed BEFORE I talked to the lady on the phone, and the agreement was made for the 4 payments of $162.50 when I was on the phone. The lady did not update any of this new information. Now, they are stating I owe them payments in the amounts of: 3/26--$2754/9--$237.504/23--$200.005/7--$162.50for a complete total of $875.I keep asking them what about the $300 that has already been taken out of my account, and they say it was used for interest, making my grand total $1175.00 for a $500 loan.Since their customer service lady did not update my information, I'm being told I am to pay $525 more that what I had signed up for. They have already been informed if anything more than $162.50 four times is taken out of my account, I will file a police report for theft.Desired Settlement: I'm asking either I get the $300 back, or they apply the $300 to my loan of $650. If they give me the $300 back, the payments should be $162.50 four times. If they apply the $300 to my loan, the payments would be $175 two times.

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to address this customer’s concerns. Our customer [redacted], had requested and was extended a $500 loan. The repayment terms and conditions are located on our website as well as in the customer’s signed consumer loan agreement. Our customer service representatives are always available to answer any questions about repayment and we often work with customers in customizing repayment options that best work for them. We extended the loan to the customer upon her request and were not aware that the customer still had any problems with the terms of the loan or repayment as we had resolved the issue with her. She has since paid off the loan as per the loan terms and agreement. However, I am willing to work with the customer in this case and I have authorized a refund in the amount of $300.00 to the customer’s account as per her settlement request in her Revdex.com complaint. A message was left for [redacted] today to call me back. Meanwhile, a $300 refund has been applied to her account by my payment team. I hope this satisfies and resolves this matter. After speaking with someone I sent them the money order. Now last monthbi recieved a deduction from my bank account of 106.00 and again this month afyer contacting them a few with no resolution, I ordered a stop payment from my bank. Noone has been in contact with me since I last spoke with them September 22nd.Desired Settlement: 212 dollars was taken from my bank account and 30 dollars was paid to stop payment. Hi,

Review: I recently took out a loan from North Star Finance aka Northcash under the assumption and understanding that these are high interest payday loans. I understand that and that is not my complaint.

The repayment cycle of this loan coincides with an individuals pay date or every two weeks. In my case, my 1st pay period after taking out the loan was 10-10-14 which is when my first payment for $150.00 was auto deducted from my account. The next scheduled payment would be again in 2 weeks for $150.00 which would be on 10-24.

Today I saw that the Co did another withdraw from my account for $150.00 which is just 1 week since the last payment and should not have been deducted until next week Friday (10-24) which coincides with my next pay period.

Due to the $150.00 being deducted from account today, I now have to change my plans for the weekend being they have money of mine which should have never been taken out of my account today.

I called the Co this morning and they acknowledged that this was an error and that they would issue a refund of $150.00 back into my account but that it wouldn't show back up in my account until Monday being that is the next business day.

I explained that the reason people take out these high interest loans is due to emergent conditions for the most part and stated that having $150.00 out of my account for the next 3 days until the refund shows up Monday due to their mistake is uncalled for and now I am out $150.00 for the weekend.

The rep stated that due to the error, Northcash would continue with the refund of the $150.00 but it wouldn't show back up until Monday (3 days from now). Additionally, I was told that they would waive the $150.00 originally due for next week Friday (10-24). I agreed to the terms of this and thought it was fair being I am out $150.00 for the weekend due to their error withdrawl from my account..

10 minutes after I hung up, I got a call from a Supervisor to call Northcash back.

I did so and was told by a Rep that I had to choose between either having a refund of the $150.00 OR a waiver of next weeks payment and that not both options were available to me. The Rep further stated that I was told misinformation and that the option of a payment waiver and a refund couldn't both happen.

I hung up in frustration..Desired Settlement: New employee or not..... when a customer is told something and the call ends with that assumption then the deal should be in place not to have a call back 10 minutes later to insinuate Oops, we can't do what we originally told you. What the[redacted] kind of business is that??????

you people took $150.00 out of my account today when it shouldn't have been and have acknowledged that. Due to that, I am out $150.00 for the weekend until my refund shows back up Monday. Getting my $150.00 back is what is right and to offer a waiver of next weeks payment of the $150.00 which is what was told me originally is the least you can do after taking $150.00 from me wrongly, outside of the due date and causing me to waste 20 minutes on the phone and now 30 minutes writing this complaint.

If you people want to do business with the public, then get your act together!

I took a loan out with Northstar loans for the amount of 600.00! I didn't mind having to pay the interest with regards to the loan I fully understand the situation. But, I went to pay off the loan in full early and was told that they couldn't setup a same day payment and I'd still be charged interest up until the day of the payment. I think that's just robbery! I wouldn't recommend this [redacted] company to anyone.

Review: I applied for a online loan at this website the only information I put in was my full name date of birth and social security number someone from there company called me 10 minutes after I applied saying I was approved she was explaining my payments to me and I had wrote them all down. on june 21 which was Friday was my first payment it was supposed to be $170 which included $50 towards my loan and $120 towards interest the lady never told me how to pay I called the business up and they had already taken $120 out of my account not giving me a chance to pay the $50 towards the loan. I talked to a supervisor and they are just trying to scam me out of more money of which I did not agree to. They will not cooperate with me they want $2800 just in interest on a $400 loan which I also didn't agree too.Desired Settlement: pay off my loan as agreed upon in 4 payments not 35 payments

Dear Mr.

[redacted],

At Northstar Finance LLC, we are committed to providing our

customers with the highest level of service and we take this customer’s

concerns very seriously. Thank

you for your inquiry with regards to Ms. [redacted].

All customers, upon application of a loan, are provided with

an electronic Loan Agreement that they are required to sign. Northstar Finance

LLC, complies with Truth In Lending Disclosures, which clearly outlines and

confirms, not only the loan amount requested, but fees, interest and APR

associated with entering into the agreement. Further, customers are contacted

by one of our Customer Service Specialists to finalize the details of the loan

prior to issuance. During this telephone conversation, our specialists explain

the terms of the loan agreement as well as the options available to the

prior to the loan being issued and in most cases, this is done while the

customer is on the phone with one of our specialists.

After

listening to the phone recordings of the conversations with Ms. [redacted] on

June 3rd and June 24th, I am satisfied that the repayment

options were clearly explained to the customer, including making payments in

addition to the finance fee.

In

order to pay off her loan in 4 payments, the customer will have to make larger

payments towards her principal, however, the finance fee would still apply.

Below is a schedule of the payments required in order to pay off her loan in 4

payments:

To date,

all offers to resolve this issue have been declined by the customer. If Ms.

[redacted] agrees to pay off her loan in 4 payments, I am willing to discount

her finance fee by 20%, which would reduce her total payment. See the

revised schedule below:

It is

important to note, that we have not received any payment from Ms. [redacted]

to date. Her first payment of $120.00 was due on 06/21/2013 and it was returned

from the bank. Her loan is now in default. In addition to the above discount,

we will waive any fees applied to her loan as a result of the defaulted

payment.

We are open

to communication with the customer in an effort to resolve this issue to the

satisfaction of both parties. If interested, Ms. [redacted] can contact

us directly and ask to speak to one of the Supervisors, who have both been

updated on her file. We are open 5 day’s a week, from 8 AM to 12:00 AM

EST, by phone at ###-###-#### or e-mail at [redacted]@northcash.com .

Thank you.

Our customer service representatives are always available to answer any questions about repayment and we often work with customers in customizing repayment options that best work for them. During the origination of the loan, several re-payment options were explained to [redacted]. Also during this call [redacted] was advised that she would be able to change her payments at any time. We extended the loan to the customer upon her request and made every effort to resolve her concerns once she made us aware of it. We had contacted the customer by email and offered her a payment of $75.51 as per her settlement request to close off the account. The customer had sent a reply email indicating that she would mail out a money order in the same amount to the address we provided her. We responded to her and advised that her file was noted accordingly. However, we were not aware that the customer still had any problems with the terms of the loan or repayment as we had resolved the issue with her. I hope this satisfies and resolves this matter. Please do not hesitate to contact me directly if you have any further questions. Regards, [redacted]

Review: I called to try to lessen the time I had to pay on this loan and they told me I could not change the terms therefore forcing me to pay OUTRAGES fees. I wanted to resolve this to pay it off sooner but they declined to work with me....Desired Settlement: I want them to consider my account paid in full and stop taking money out of my bank acct. I have already paid $1794 on a $500 loan.

Regarding ID [redacted]: Thank you for providing us with the opportunity to address this customer’s concerns. [redacted] called our office on 12/10/2015 inquiring what the payoff balance would be on her $500 loan. The customer was not satisfied with the amount we provided as she stated several payments have been made toward the balance of this loan. The customer service representative explained the terms of the loan to the customer and further informed her that she had requested a loan product with 35 payments, which is our most expensive. The customer was advised of the daily interest at the time of her loan application. The customer was advised that if she wanted to make additional payments toward the loan or if she wanted to pay off the loan at any time, she just needs to call our office 3 days before the next payment due date. During our call with the customer, Ms. [redacted] did not request the repayment terms to be changed nor was the customer denied the ability to make additional payments at any time. At this time, the customer has made a partial repayment of the loan based on the terms and conditions within her signed consumer loan agreement. Still, as a courtesy, North Star Finance, LLC dba North Cash has decided to waive the customer’s remaining balance and deems this account closed. Ms. [redacted] has no remaining financial obligations to North Cash. [redacted] Northcash Complaints Department[redacted]
