although [redacted] has filed a complaint about me with the Revdex.com, I still do not have permission because of HIPAA to disclose her diagnosis or personal information. I am sorry to learn that [redacted] felt that my attitude towards her pregnancy was judgmental and rude. As a psychiatrist in private practice for 40 years, I have learned not to be judgmental or rude, no matter what patients tell me and have never had a complaint of this type before. According to my notes for the session in question, [redacted] told me that she hadn't told anyone about the pregnancy because she was afraid they would think something negative. It appears that [redacted] misinterpreted by reaction to her, which was nothing but supportive, as judgmental because of her own view of what others would think. Had she returned for further sessions, it is likely she would have been able to work through this distortion and recognize that it was coming from her own attitudes. Unfortunately, she chose not to return. Therefore, this opportunity to understand herself better was missed. [redacted] was charged appropriately for my services, which were provided in good faith. She was sent a bill because her insurance did not pay. The claim was resubmitted and has now been paid by her insurance. She, therefore, no longer owes any money. I would be happy to offer her a session without charge if she wishes to come in and discuss the issue in person. As she mentioned, prior to this session, our relationship was going well.
