May 8, Revdex.com Euclid Avenue, 4" Floor Cleveland, OH 44115-Attn: [redacted] , Trace Practices Manager Re: [redacted] - Doctor's response Dear Mr [redacted] , This is my response to the complaint of [redacted] ***My response is limited because although [redacted] has filed a complaint about me with the Revdex.com, I still do not have permission because of HIPAA to disclose her diagnosis or personal informationI am sorry to learn that [redacted] felt that my attitude towards her pregnancy was judgmental and rudeAs a psychiatrist in private practice for years, I have learned not to be judgmental or rude, no matter what patients tell me and have never had a complaint of this type beforeAccording to my notes for the session in question, [redacted] told me that she hadn't told anyone about the pregnancy because she was afraid they would think something negativeIt appears that [redacted] misinterpreted by reaction to her, which was nothing but supportive, as judgmental because of her own view of what others would thinkHad she returned for further sessions, it is likely she would have been able to work through this distortion and recognize that it was coming from her own attitudesUnfortunately, she chose not to returnTherefore, this opportunity to understand herself better was missed [redacted] was charged appropriately for my services, which were provided in good faithShe was sent a bill because her insurance did not payThe claim was resubmitted and has now been paid by her insuranceShe, therefore, no longer owes any moneyI would be happy to offer her a session without charge if she wishes to come in and discuss the issue in personAs she mentioned, prior to this session, our relationship was going wellI would not want her distortion of what happened during one session to keep her from seeking help in the future from me or from another psychiatristSincerely, Brooke W***, M.D/ru
