Review: We set up an appointment for a refrigerator repair via the website. Someone called me the same day from a different number listed on the website to set up the appointment (###-###-####). He came to our home the following day and assessed our problem stating that the "door" that allows cold air to blow into the refrigerator was jammed shut and that was why our refrigerator was not cooling to an adequate temperature to keep food from spoiling. He charged us $280 to fix this door. We were well aware it was an over-charge but, with three small children in the house, we desperately needed the work done, so we agreed. He completed the job and advised us that it could take a day or two to reach the correct temperature. We understood and handed over our check. By day three all of our food in the refrigerator had frozen solid like a freezer. We tried turning the temperature up and giving it another day to no avail. We also discovered he had disabled our water dispenser in the process. We finally decided to call back the number on the website during the business hours listed. There was no answer and a generic robot vm greeting. So we called the different number that the service man called us from initially. He answered the phone, and after I introduced myself, informed me that he was sleeping (at 9:30 AM) and hung up on me. I typed out another service request for a call back on the website as I had done the first time. It has been three days with no reply. My husband called the number on the website once more yesterday during business hours. There was no answer. Our check was cashed and our food is still frozen solid. We just called [redacted] to come out and repair the botched job this "company" provided. Though the website seems convincing, it is clearly not a legit business.Desired Settlement: We want this person to come out and fix what he did, cover the repair that [redacted] did, or return our money less the service charge of $45.
