Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Revdex.com spoke to [redacted] todayHe stated that there was more damage actually caused as stated by the body shop he went toDamage to the tailgate created bed to sit crooked on the frameHe would like to know the cost to replace

In response to Mr [redacted] 's complaintOn July Mr [redacted] and his mother stopped into our facility to look at our Ford F- Mr [redacted] ended up leaving a $deposit on said vehicle and said he would need a couple of days to secure financing After days Mr [redacted] came in to pihis new used truck on July During the days it took for Mr [redacted] to secure financing the truck was inspected, washed and detailed in our shop and sat behind our main building at our location for about days When Mr [redacted] paid for and took delivery of the truck, I personally walked him out to the vehicle and watched him do a "walk around" of the truck No issues were brought to our attention Roughly a day and a half later Mr [redacted] called and stated he could not open his tailgate I asked him when would be a good time to bring it in so we could take a look at it He has said he was busy but could probably make it up the following weekOn Monday July 2015, Mr [redacted] called me and asked if he could stop in so we could take a look at it I told him to stop in at his convenience and we would address the matter At approximately 2:00pm, Mr [redacted] showed up and I immediately pulled the truck out back to our shop and had our mechanic come and take a look Upon looking at the truck, it was clearly evident the truck had been in some type of accident involving the tailgate We picture every vehicle we sell and we reviewed our pictures of the truck and found that although there was minor damage on the tailgate (which we were aware of), there was much more damage now than in our pictures and in our pictures the tail light is not broke but when we looked over the truck the tail light is now broke After thoroughly looking over the tail gate area of the truck, my mechanic, one of the business owners and myself all could clearly tell that the tailgate at some point was in the down position and then backed into something, causing extensive damage to the tailgate and someone must have then tried closing it and broke the tail light because the tailgate no longer lined up properly I personally explained this to Mr [redacted] and although he denied doing the damage, he did review our pictures and agree that there is more damage now than in our pictures We at Northeast Car Connection have always and will always go above and beyond to help our customers ALthough we knew we were not responsible for this and have the pictures to prove it, we still helped out the best way we could by getting the tailgate to at least open and close for him I personally opened and closed it directly in front of him 15-times after our mechanic and owner were able to make adjustments to the tailgate because of the recent damage to the truck The fresh scrape marks on the tailgate and the tail light being broken are clear evidence that something hit the truck after it left our facility Our pictures show that the damage was not there although there was minor damage on the tailgate that we were aware of however there is clearly more damage now We advised Mr [redacted] that we are not responsible for the new damage but we would get him a new tailgate at our cost if he paid for it This offer still stands and will be valid through the end of July

As previously stated, yes there was damage to the tailgate area before Mr [redacted] purchased the vehicle, however when he brought the truck back for us to look at, there was clearly more damage in the tailgate area than when we were in possession of the vehicle If Mr [redacted] is willing we can get him a painted replacement tailgate for $ Mr [redacted] will be responsible for paying for this as it is our belief the additional damage was done while the truck was in his possession If he would like us to fix it at his expense he can feel free to contact us via phone to setup an appointment.ThanksBrad

Revdex.com spoke to [redacted] today. He stated that there was more damage actually caused as stated by the body shop he went to. Damage to the tailgate created bed to sit crooked on the frame. He would like to know the cost to replace.

As previously stated, yes there was damage to the tailgate area before Mr. [redacted] purchased the vehicle, however when he brought the truck back for us to look at, there was clearly more damage in the tailgate area than when we were in possession of the vehicle.  If Mr. [redacted] is willing we can get him a painted replacement tailgate for $200.00.  Mr. [redacted] will be responsible for paying for this as it is our belief the additional damage was done while the truck was in his possession.  If he would like us to fix it at his expense he can feel free to contact us via phone to setup an appointment.ThanksBrad

In response to Mr [redacted]'s complaint.. On July 6 2015 Mr. [redacted]  and his mother stopped into our facility to look at our 2005 Ford F-350.  Mr. [redacted] ended up leaving a $200.00 deposit on said vehicle and said he would need a couple of days to secure financing.  After 8 days Mr...

[redacted] came in to pick-up his new used truck on July 14 2015.  During the 8 days it took for Mr. [redacted] to secure financing the truck was inspected, washed and detailed in our shop and sat behind our main building at our location for about 7 days.  When Mr. [redacted] paid for and took delivery of the truck, I personally walked him out to the vehicle and watched him do a "walk around" of the truck.  No issues were brought to our attention.  Roughly a day and a half later Mr. [redacted] called and stated he could not open his tailgate.  I asked him when would be a good time to bring it in so we could take a look at it.  He has said he was busy but could probably make it up the following week. On Monday July 20 2015, Mr [redacted] called me and asked if he could stop in so we could take a look at it.  I told him to stop in at his convenience and we would address the matter.  At approximately 2:00pm, Mr. [redacted] showed up and I immediately pulled the truck out back to our shop and had our mechanic come and take a look.  Upon looking at the truck, it was clearly evident the truck had been in some type of accident involving the tailgate.  We picture every vehicle we sell and we reviewed our pictures of the truck and found that although there was minor damage on the tailgate (which we were aware of), there was much more damage now than in our pictures and in our pictures the tail light is not broke but when we looked over the truck the tail light is now broke.  After thoroughly looking over the tail gate area of the truck, my mechanic, one of the business owners and myself all could clearly tell that the tailgate at some point was in the down position and then backed into something, causing extensive damage to the tailgate and someone must have then tried closing it and broke the tail light because the tailgate no longer lined up properly.  I personally explained this to Mr. [redacted] and although he denied doing the damage, he did review our pictures and agree that there is more damage now than in our pictures.  We at Northeast Car Connection have always and will always go above and beyond to help our customers.  ALthough we knew we were not responsible for this and have the pictures to prove it, we still helped out the best way we could by getting the tailgate to at least open and close for him.  I personally opened and closed it directly in front of him 15-20 times after our mechanic and owner were able to make adjustments to the tailgate because of the recent damage to the truck.   The fresh scrape marks on the tailgate and the tail light being broken are clear evidence that something hit the truck after it left our facility.  Our pictures show that the damage was not there although there was minor damage on the tailgate that we were aware of however there is clearly more damage now.  We advised Mr [redacted] that we are not responsible for the new damage but we would get him a new tailgate at our cost if he paid for it.  This offer still stands and will be valid through the end of July 2015.
