Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2016/06/30) */ The furniture mentioned in this complaint was sold brand new to the customerThe bedroom furniture (dresser, mirror, night stand, headboard and bunk bed frame) was uncrated prior to delivery and the bunkie board / mattress combinations were delivered in the original, factory wrapped plastic The complainant has never contacted us to report a problemThe mother of the complainant called us in April to state that her grandkids were being bitten in the bunk bed and that we delivered used mattressesWe tried to explain to her that the bunk bed frame and mattresses were brand new, but she was adamant that they were usedShe told us that we have no way of knowing which pieces were used but we expressed that we have never had used bunk beds or bunkie board mattresses The mother stated that her daughter did not have this problem at her previous residence and this problem only began after moving in to this house and having furniture deliveredWe expressed that although the furniture in question was in fact new, we wanted to helpWe offered to send our warehouse and delivery manager to the residence to investigateShe then made comments that everyone is against her, nobody is willing to help, and then hung up We stand by our reputation of fair and honest disclosures and quality products at value pricing Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (3000, 7, 2016/07/01) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) The complainant has never contacted us to report a problem. That's completely untrue. My mother did not contact them at all. I called & the man I spoke with said the "supervisor/manager" wasn't in at the time & he'd have him call me asap but I never got that call. I don't know what this guy is talking about I was never offered for anyone to "investigate" or anything of the sort. This is unacceptable & if I don't get a refund I'll just call my lawyer back & see what could be done. This is unsanitary & my children are suffering. I will sue this company. I took a picture of the back of the headboard where the problem started & they are nested... My lawyer will be in touch.
