in order for Northeast generator to perform our originally agreed upon
installation, all the existing code violations would need to be correctedDr

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that although many of their statements are factually incorrect, they have nonetheless recognized their failure to provide any of the services purchased in our contract.
In light of their lack of delivery of services purchased in our agreement and the company having taken payment for services not provided, at long last they have finally and fully refunded my deposit and taken their equipment off of my property.  As this was all that I every requested of them, I accept that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Sincerely,

Review: Northeast Generator contracted with me to install and supply a generator for my business. A deposit of $7,036.02 was taken in advance for the job. After nearly 6 months of delays and multiple visits from their electricians and engineers, I was informed that they would not be able to do the job because the electrical work was too involved and complicated. I understood their inability to complete the job and agreed that they would provide a full refund immediately and we would part with no hard feelings. Five (5) months later I have not received the refund. After over a dozen calls, they are refusing to return my deposit saying that the company owner, [redacted], will not authorize the payment. Mr. [redacted] has never picked up his phone nor returned any messages. His staff continues to stonewall, deferring to [redacted]'s needing to speak to me directly. . . which he has never attempted. This is dishonest and despicable behavior. The next step for resolution will unfortunately be to go through the court system.Desired Settlement: Return the deposit in full, as promised in November, 2013 by [redacted] when he informed me that he could not install the generator.

Review: Northeast Generator installed a standby generator at my residence on 4/29/2013. It has not worked properly since failing on the date of final installation. On completion of the installation, it failed (shut down) when the central air conditioning tried to start. The installer blamed the air conditioning and left. [redacted] Inc., Norwalk, CT, checked out the system on 6/12/2013 finding nothing wrong. Cost to me - $135.00.Northeast generator, after a number of phone calls from me, sent out a technician 6/19/2013 who said there was a fuel problem. I needed a primary and a secondary regulator on the propane supply. On 6/21/2013, [redacted] CT, Installed said regulators although it was their opinion no such regulators were needed. These new regulators made no difference in the fuel pressure to the generator which met specifications before and after their installation. The generator still shut down when the air conditioning tried to start. Cost to me - $325.00Since then I have spoken twice with [redacted] & [redacted] the manufacturer of the generator. Both times they have told me air conditioning should not be a problem since the transfer switch sold with this package has a special provision for central air conditioning. Both times they told me someone should "check the wiring."Then, the generator when turned on will not connect with the house at all. At this point in time, the installation is a total failure. As of July 15, 2013, Northeast Generator has not responded to any of my phone calls to make this system work. They politely answer the phone, take my message, but no one returns the call.

Business Response /* (1000, 16, 2013/08/23) */

On 8/2213 the complaint regarding [redacted] in [redacted] CT was resolved. The generator was tested and operated as designed and to the satisfaction the homeowner. Upon complete inspection of the generator Northeast Generator found the following:

1. The installation of a secondary gas regulator at the generator is common practice. In this case on 6/19 the technician found only 7" WC of LP where 11 - 14" is necessary. Once the secondary regulator was installed the generator is now receiving 11" WC.

2. The installation wiring was found to be in compliance per manufacturer's spec.

3. A start-assist kit was installed at the AC Unit to limit the demand on the generator at start-up.

At no time has the customer been charged for any additional visits or materials to complete this installation and bring it to satisfactory operation. The system is in good operating order and ready for use.
