I requested a change in my insurance coverage, it was ignored yesterday I realized that my coverage was way higher than I wanted. my insurance company told me I can request the change with my agent and they will handle it and give credit from the start of my policy. I emailed nancy, heard nothing back. spoke to her this am, her response was that she forwarded the email to [redacted], and she doesnt recommend the coverage I requested. I have a 99 merit rating, yet am being charged $1464 a year, which to me is very high for having a good record. I am being denied the coverage I want because [redacted] doesnt recommend itDesired Settlementi would like the change I am requesting made and a credit/refund for the over amount I am being charged.Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXXContact Email: [redacted]To whom it may concern,Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the complaint raised by Mrs. [redacted] regarding the handling of her automobile insurance policy.Mrs. [redacted]'s complaint that her request to change and reduce her coverage was not acted on is not, in fact, a fair representation of her request. Mrs. [redacted] did contact our office and request that her coverage be changed and our representative did recommend against reducing her coverage the representative asked for Mrs. [redacted] to submit the request to us in writing. It is a standard procedure for us to ask for a written request with a signature (an email is also acceptable when sent from a verifiable email address) any time we reduce coverage on an insured's policy. On May 16th during a telephone conversation between our representative and Mrs. [redacted] such a request was made. On May 22nd an email from Mrs. [redacted] was received and the coverage was changed on her policy. I believe the coverage has been modified to Mrs. [redacted]'s satisfaction.I believe Mrs. [redacted]'s policy has the desired coverage she has requested and the premium she is being charged representative of the coverage she has selected.
