This company damaged the mesh screen face of my fireplace but does not acknowledge it and does not want to replace it with a new one
The propane division of Northeast Oil & Propane company sold and installed me a propane fireplace with one year warrantyThe contract date was 06/26/and I paid the invoice in full on 07/17/After the wall around the fireplace was completed by my own mason, we realized that they never plugged it in and it wasn't workingThey sent their agent to solve the problem but he not only didn't fix the issue but also made a hole in the metal mesh screen face of my new fireplaceI'm 100% sure that hole wasn't there before their agent came and my mason and my carpenter, who also worked on this project, agree that the screen was intact before that dateBut the Northeast Oil & Propane company is not taking the responsibility and does not want to replace the screen with a new oneThey say they asked their agent if he damaged the screen and he said no!

Ordered 300 Gallons but only 250 gallons filledI placed a check on top of my tank for [redacted] to await delivery on Wednesday. My tank was at %20 capacity when I looked Wednesday morning and my husband confirmed tank capacity was at % 24 Monday, two days before. We ordered 300 gallons which will bring tank up to %80 fill, however when I looked at tank after delivery filled my tank was only at %70 fill. The delivery man only placed 250 gallons in my tank for it to be at %70.I have already paid for the 300 gallons but only received 250, I called the company to try and explain but the woman on the phone did not want to listen.I paid for those 50 gallons that were not delivered .Delivery date [redacted] Account # XXXXXX-XCheck amount [redacted]Desired SettlementI only want what I paid for, 50 gallons of propane.Business Response The customer call about the delivery. They have a copy of the delivery ticket which clearly shows they received 300 gallon. Our meters a certified and tested every year. They either read the gauge wrong or the their gauge is not accurate. We can send a copy of the metered delivery ticket again.Consumer Response I just received northeast propane's response on my complaint, my concern was not what the delivery ticket says or my gauge. My concern is the integrity of their delivery driver and whether he actually filled my tank with 300 gallons. I've heard of scams and believe I just became a victim of this scam. My concern is if this company tracks mileage on truck to match delivery path for that day. If trucks shows access mileage it can prove driver is going elsewhere.[redacted] Final Business Response The customer received 300 gallons as requested. They have a metered ticket that proves the received the gas. Either the customer misread their gauge or the gauge is not accurate. Our meters are proved every year. We can provide a copy of the metered ticket again which the customer already has.

Northeast Oil and Propane left me and my 2 year old daughter without heat and hot water on a 41 degree day because we switched propane companies.Northeast Oil and Propane left me and my 2 year old daughter without heat and hot water on a 41 degree day all because we switched propane companies. I decided to switch propane companies after using Northeast Oil and Propane for over 4 years because I got a much better rate with the new company (DDLC Energy). DDLC Energy faxed paperwork over to Northeast Propane letting them know that they would be installing my new tanks on 11/13 around noon. Northeast Oil and Propane (knowing that my new tanks wouldn't be installed until noon) come out to take their tanks at 8:30 am on a 41 degree day. The technician that came to get the tanks was even concerned that the new tanks weren't installed yet and called his boss "Spike" to see if they wanted to hold off. He was instructed to move forward with taking the tanks. I then called Northeast Oil and Propane and speak with the customer service department to alert them that they sent someone to take the tanks before my new tanks are even installed LEAVING ME WITHOUT HEAT AND HOT WATER UNTIL THE NEW TANKS GET HERE. Keep in mind that I have a 2 year old at home and I work from home so we're home all day and this is our primary heating source. The women in the customer service department says that they will hold off on taking the tanks until the new tanks come in. I run outside to inform the technician and he's on the phone with his boss who is still telling him to take the tanks even after I was just told by their customer service department that they could hold off. I call Northeast Oil and Propane back and they inform me that there is nothing they can do, "it's only a few hours that I'll be without heat/hot water, what the difference". Also, they ask me what rate I got with the new company and because I said that I wasn't willing to stay with their company they took the tanks and left me and my family without any heat or hot water. All they had to do was wait a few hours to take the tanks. How inconsiderate of them knowing I have a small child at home and I'm currently pregnant. I am absolutely disgusted with how I was treated and I think the public should be made aware of how awful this company is.Desired SettlementI would like a formal apology from management and I would also like for the $100 fee they charged me to remove my tanks (against my will) waived. Business Response Ms. [redacted] won't tell the whole truth. We only knew her tanks were being removed in the am. The form said nothing about noon time. Second, at about 9am the tanks were being disconnected and removed per request on the customer. By noon time her tanks had been replaced and the temperature outside was about 50 degrees. No matter what she says her house never got below 60 degrees by the time her tanks were replaced. She is just an angry vengeful person who didn't get her own way and wants to slander our company. I will not apologize because we did nothing wrong. We did not charge her a $100 removal fee and she will be getting a full refund for the remaining propane that was in the tanks when they were removed. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)In my opinion, customer service is king. I expect quality customer service and to be treated with respect by all companies that I pay to provide a service. Northeast Oil and Propane takes no responsibly for their actions. The fact the Northeast Oil and Propane refuses to apologize for their highly unethical actions says a lot about how much they appreciate their customers. I believe that prospective customers need to know how they will be treated by Northeast Oil and Propane. They accuse me of lying and slander, however everything that was stated in my complaint is truthful and I stand by it 100%. They had an opportunity to do the right thing and they didn't. They claim that my new tanks were installed by noon; however, that is a complete lie on their part. The new propane company didn't even arrive at my home until 1pm (I will obtain a statement from the new propane company if needed). Northeast Oil and Propane also claims my house never reached below 60 degrees; however, they never once entered my home to determine the temperature. I am disgusted with the actions of Northeast Oil and Propane. They were/are angry that I (rightfully) decided to take my business elsewhere. In my honest opinion, it seems that they are the angry and vengeful party in this situation. I have never encountered such poor management skills as that of Northeast Oil and Propane. When a company responds to a customer complaint stating- "I will not apologize because we did nothing wrong" it show their true character. I'm sure the owners of the company would be embarrassed by the way this all is being handled.

The company delivered 44.9 gallons of propane to the wrong address. I called this company twice to resolve the delivery mistake. I did not order this.On [redacted] Northeast Oil&Propane delivered 44.9 gallons of propane to my address, the wrong address. I did not call for an order and wasnt due for any propane. The invoice of person who ordered this is...[redacted] 9 [redacted] st [redacted] invoice# XXXXXX...account # XXXXXX-X. The total amount due is $ [redacted] I called twice to resolve this matter and the company wants me to pay, for their delivery mistake.Desired Settlementthe [redacted] to be taken off my account, due to the companies delivery mistake to the wrong address.Business Response I spoke to Ms. [redacted] approximately 1 week ago. I explained to her that we did make a mistake and she was not supposed to get the delivery. I also explained to her that we would give her extra time to pay for the gas because she was not expecting it. She said she didn't want to pay for the gas because she didn't order it. I told her if she didn't want to pay for the gas we would remove the tank and give her credit for any gas in the tank that she had previously paid for. She wants the gas for free and I told her that would not happen because we own the tank and the gas that is in the tank that she has not paid for.
