Review: We hired Northeast Paving to pave our driveway in March of 2014. They did the paving work in May. When they came to pave, they requested that I leave a garage door open, which I did. While they were taking a break, I noticed that they drove the steamroller into the garage bay. Upon completion of the work, I saw damage to the garage floor from the steamroller. The worst damage was the seam of the garage concrete floor with the driveway, where the steamroller had crushed the edge of the concrete floor. Additionally, there were two sections in which the top layer of concrete had been peeled away from the steam roller. (They didn't need to even access the garage, as they paved the entrance to the 2nd bay without any garage access, thus leading to no damage on that side.) I spoke directly with [redacted], the owner, and asked that they look into repairing it. After multiple emails/calls, she has said that they will repair. She sent two of her own employees to look at it, but both of them said that she would need to decide what to do, as they don't do concrete work. She has promised to send a concrete professional to come look at it, however, she still has done nothing. Despite my multiple attempts to resolve this, she has been unresponsive and it is now almost a year since I first reported the issue to her. I suspect that they won't be able to repair damage and have suggested, if that is the case, then we should be credited back some money for the damage.Desired Settlement: I would like to get the input from a concrete professional, but suspect that they will not be able to offer much in terms of "repair." If this is the case, I feel like we are owed a portion of the money back for the unnecessary damage caused. I think it would be reasonable for us to receive 10%, or $500, back for the damage.
I highly recommend staying away from this company for your paving needs, I hired them to replace my driveway with a scheduled date for the work, they never showed up. Called the owner with no response, emailed owner just to hear back days later with an excuse that they had more important work going on. Several more contacts just to be told not contact Gina anymore and go through her office staff. Come to find there is no office staff but just an answering service. I paid a three hundred dollar deposit and have not been able to get it back. It has now been a month and they still won't call me back, next step law suit.
I recently had Northeast Paving LLC resurface my driveway. The old asphalt had to be removed and a new surface installed. They did an excellent job. Looks great and was much lower than my other quotes. I would recommend to anyone, including my family.
