Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # ***Please add your rejection comments belowWhile the alternative diagnosis via a separate business is appreciated, this still does not move any closer towards the resolution of the problemThe dealership's original diagnosis clearly stated that the reason for the vehicle not starting was an electrical issue resulting from contamination in the transmission, which also damaged the transmission itselfGiven the extent and severity of the negative interactions with maintenance performed by Northeast Transmission in the past, the requested resolution of Northeast Transmission reimbursing the dealership for the necessary repairs is still the desired outcome of this situationIf Northeast Transmission would prefer to provide reimbursement for the work originally performed, which does not appear to have performed as advertised, that would also be acceptableThe request to have the vehicle brought from ***, PA to ***, ME appears to be no more than an attempt at discouraging further work being done given that Northeast is aware that the cost for such a process would not be feasible

In the matter of [redacted] case [redacted], the complaint stated that the consumer has a transmission problem according to the dealership. We have contacted the dealership I question and spoken to them. When I spoke to the dealership they explained to me that the contamination in the transmission is...

referring to water intrusion. After speaking with the tech I explained it was impossible to have water contamination unless someone either poured water or antifreeze into the transmission or [redacted] drove his car into a body of water and submerged the vehicle causing water intrusion. When the vehicle in question came in the radiator had failed which is a common problem with [redacted]'s. after we repaired the transmission as stated in the invoice we installed a heavy duty 40 thousand pound pass cooler. this means that we eliminated the radiator all together. We ran the transmission cooling lines direct to the bypass cooler ensuring that this problem could not happen again. After explaining this to the tech he immediately changed his story to he had never looked at the vehicle and his other tech had. I called them multiple times and never had a response from them. Now as [redacted] has stated he brought the Vehicle in for no crank no start. That has nothing to do with the transmission. If a vehicle doesn't start after over a year of having the transmission repaired it would go without saying that the transmission has no baring on the issue. The dealership in question is trying to sell a job for [redacted] which he does not need.if you were to ask any mechanic in the field of transmission, and you explained the situation it would be a simple explanation of it could not happen. Once the radiator is bypassed it's impossible to have contamination that they are stating to happen. Per the customers response when we first spoke he stated it was running beautifully and he went into a store and then it wouldn't start. We are currently working on another [redacted] the same year make and model of Luca's as he stated with the same problem as his. Now we have never worked on this other customer's transmission yet he is experiencing the same problem as his. Now we have never worked on this other customer's transmission yet he is experiencing the same problem. It goes without saying that the circumstances are identical and yet he is having the same issue with us never repairing the transmission. We are currently awaiting results of the Diag on said customers vehicle. in closing I have enclosed an invoice of the original repair to Luca's vehicle showing the warranty as well as documentation of what was performed. You will see it is impossible to be able to have the issue occur that he is being told occurred. We would be more happy to help Mr. [redacted] in any way we can, but we strongly advise him to bring it to another repair facility and or research other people who have had the same problems with this particular year and make and model of vehicle. We have no doubt in our mind that this could not have occurred and we cannot stress that enough. Again, if we can be of any help at all we would be glad to assist but for the time being we will continue to address the issue at hand with both vehicles while diligently working on making the repair on the vehicle here and trying to save [redacted] some money with the dealership who is unnecessarily trying to sell him a service he does not need.

I have contacted the technician at the dealership multiple times and beyond the first phone call with Northeast Transmission they reported not hearing from Northeast Transmission at all. I also provided the contact information for the technician at the dealership to Northeast Transmission multiple times. While the associate that I have been in touch with at the dealership was a supervisor who did not directly diagnose my car, he informed me of this during our first conversation. He also verified the diagnosis with the technician who performed the initial assessment, as well as having a separate technician confirm the problem. In addition to this, it has recently come to my attention that Northeast Transmission was administratively dissolved by the state of Maine for the third time on August twenty-second, as reported on the website I will include below. It is my belief that Northeast Transmission is choosing not to honor their warranty in the interest of saving money. The following URL leads to a website for the Maine Department Secretary of State showing that Northeast Transmission was administratively dissolved on 08/22/2016
[redacted] In addition to this I would like it to be noted that I would prefer the resolution of this issue to be having the dealership my vehicle is currently at perform the necessary repairs, with Northeast Transmission covering the costs.

[redacted]

In the matter of complaint number [redacted] we have contacted a separate tech in the field of our industry. His name is [redacted] and he owns [redacted] in Biddeford Maine. When we spoke to [redacted] he confirmed that he has had 2 vehicles of the same year make and model that have had the same issue. he also stated that what we refer to as a fuse box under the hood the dealership would call a junction box. Upon inspection he said that the wires in the junction box had corroded causing the no crank no start problem. We also spoke to a previous customer by the name of [redacted], he also had the exact same problem as what [redacted] is facing. He pulled the junction box and found that the AT (Automatic Transmission) fuse had gone bad he replaced said fuse and the problem was rectified. If [redacted] would like to bring the vehicle back to us we have no problem checking the vehicle. If it is indeed internal transmission failure we will warranty issue. We however given the amount of people we have talked to who have had these problems believe it is an electrical problem. Again if [redacted] would send the vehicle here we could warranty it if it was due to any type of mechanical Failure. All the dealership would need to do would be to cross the starter and it would fire right up. Until we see the vehicle and confirm the issue however we cannot determine and or confirm what the dealership is saying has arisen for a problem.
