Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
While it may be your policy to not quote insurance customers, we were not insurance customers when we first arrived at your shop and informed you that we would be paying out of pocket We did not find the other party responsible for the accident and get their insurance information until after we had received a quote from you, which was in the $2,range It wasn't until we had gotten the insurance information that you had given the insurance company an estimate of over $6,
It is true that you dealt with my father and not me personally, but my father had let you know that we were not satisfied with the workmanship as soon as we got the car back We also wanted the paperwork for the work that your garage had done but you had refused to provide any paperwork After I made numerous calls and complaints to your shop over the span of two to three weeks, you finally agreed to provide paperwork but at a later date Once you finally agreed to provide the paperwork, we tried to get in contact with your shop countless times to get the paperwork and that is when your garage began to ignore and not return our calls
I even got the insurance company to three-way call your garage to specifically resolve this matter Whoever picked up the phone told us to wait, as the *** would get on the line momentarily As soon as the representative from the insurance company got off the call, the *** was "busy" and would return my call, which he never did That is when I filed this complaint with the Revdex.com
As for the trunk, the control arm is still broken - so I don't know whose car they fixedThe garage has continued to refuse to return any of our calls so I don't know how they fixed it We obviously have different definitions of when parts fit perfectly When I hear parts fit perfectly, I expect parts to fit in the condition before the accident and as close to OEM as possible The parts right now do not line up correctly - the tail light is noticeably protruding and not lined up correctly with the bumper Also, as I've mentioned, the trunk squeaks incredibly loud and one of the control arms is still broken, probably due to the fact the parts DO NOT fit perfectly So we obviously have different definitions of when parts fit perfectly
There's a clear difference between me not getting in contact with you to let you know we were not satisfied and you simply ignoring our numerous complaints (as noted above) and pretending we are satisfied Not to mention, when the work was first "completed," while the garage was dropping the vehicle off, they got into another accident with the vehicle - leaving the car door open in the middle of a busy street and having the door hit by another vehicle This accident further delayed the return of my vehicle We were cooperative and understanding of the situation and it is completely offensive and egregious that your garage is behaving in such a manner There is no professionalism with your business, you ignore customer complaints, and you refuse to provide documentation for the work done on the car
In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above
Sincerely,
*** **

To whom it may concern,
As we said in the previous response we never gave a $quote to the customerIt is never and was never an option to give our own quote without going through the insurance companyIt’s not even possible for us to quote a customer on the spot because we have to shop around for part prices and it takes time until we know how much everything would cost.
*** *** walked into our shop intending to pay through his own insurance because according to him it was a hit and runBy the time he walked in we had already dealt with the insured’s vehicle that had caused his damage and had their insurance information-something *** *** would’ve never known on his ownWe told him that instead of going through his own insurance like he had planned on, we would file the claim under the insurance of the vehicle that had hit his car, thereby saving him money
*** *** requested to see the paperwork of the parts and we showed them all to himWe even provided him with copies of them even though all he wanted was to see them*** *** walked out of our shop and he was satisfied with what we showed him
The insurance company called us saying *** *** was on the lineWe told him to hold as the *** was on other lines*** *** was not on hold for more than minutes before he disconnected the call*** *** only called us that one time and we were aware of the callWe have nothing to avoid or hide and we answer 99% of our calls all the timeHe claims to have called us numerous times but that is false
When we returned the vehicle to *** *** everything was working properlyA few days later he came in saying that the trunk wasn't working properly and we fixed it for him at no charge*** *** saw us replacing the part and even took the previous one with him and thanked us for our service saying everything was perfect
As we have tried to say numerous times, If *** *** thinks there is a problem with the vehicle he should feel free to come by the shop and we will take a look at it

Revdex.com:
At this time, I have not been contacted by Northeastern Collision & Auto Body Inc regarding complaint ID [redacted].
Sincerely,
[redacted]

To whom it may concern,
We never quoted [redacted] for his vehicle repairs as we never quote insurance customers as a company policy until the insurance appraiser comes down to the shop and estimates the cost of repairs themselves as to what amount is that they will pay for.
/>
Furthermore, We never spoke with [redacted] himself. His father came into our shop as the driver of the vehicle and we dealt with him exclusively throughout the entire time the vehicle was being repaired.
All the parts were lined up and fit the vehicle perfectly. We fixed the front bumper complimentary even though it was not part of the accident. The customer complained about the trunk so we adjusted that and he was satisfied.
We spoke to [redacted] and told him if there are any problems he should come back to us and he never did, implying that everything was fixed properly.
Thank you.

Review: Took my car in for body work after a collision, the body shop quoted me $2,000 for repairs and labor. The body shop then claimed from the insurance company over $6,000 worth of repairs and labor, which is obviously inflated and triple of what the initial estimate was - scamming the insurance company. As they were returning the car to me, they further damaged the front passenger door. The body shop did extremely shoddy work on the car, none of the parts they used line up to the original parts of the car. The body shop also damaged the trunk; every time I open/close the trunk it squeaks and one of the arms for the trunk lid is coming off of the car. Additionally, the paint color does not match and you can definitely notice that the car is two different shades - car is originally off-white and the body shop used pure/regular white. I tried calling the body shop multiple times regarding all of the issues and they have refused to do anything to remedy the problems and are now ignoring all contact from me. The body shop has also refused to provide paperwork for any of the work done on the car and for the parts that were used.Desired Settlement: I would like them to repair the car to the condition it should be if the work had been done from a legitimate business.
