Northern California Fireplace Systems

Review: My pellet stove remote stopped working so I called the company that I purchased it from ([redacted]). They referred me to The [redacted] who referred me to Shawn Moore, the owner of Northern California Fireplace Systems. I called him and he hadn't called me back after a couple of days so I called The [redacted] back and then he finally called me back. He came out to check out our stove and clean it. He said that the control panel(?) was burned out. To order a replacement would cost approximately $400. We asked him to check into it for us. He took a picture of the model number and the ID number and supposedly contacted Breckwell. He was supposedly told that I was sold a 1998(?) model instead of 2008 model. He was going to secure a letter from Breckwell to help me in getting my pellet stove repaired. I have called and called and have not heard from him. It's is now basically one year later so I called him again to let him know that he had a week to call me back or I was going to file a complaint. The week has come and gone, so here I am filing a letter of complaint on Shawn Moore.Desired Settlement: I paid him with a check for $125.00. I feel I did not get the service I deserved and I was very, very patient (1year). I also have not been able to use my pellet stove this winter. Therefore I believe that I deserve a refund for having been inconvenienced for a year.
