Initial Business Response /* (1000, 9, 2015/02/19) */
Received email response:
[redacted]'s project is near completion. I have been in contact with him the past several weeks. He is currently out of town leaving me to wait until he returns to get the job finalized. His system is up and...

running and has been for moths. As far as his request for back pay due to the PG&E permission to operate, I would gladly reimburse him what he would have saved during this time. He e-mailed me Friday X-XX-XX informing he received permission to operate (PTO) from PG&E.

Northern California Roofing Co. has spoken to Mr. [redacted] and an appointment has been set to meet him at his home next week to address his concerns.

Revdex.com:
Company representative gave me a call & made an appointment but I'm not sure that it will solve the problem because they broke promises many time & work is not done yet. It's not resolved my complaint yet.

In regards to the following complaint this is what we have found. On 1/3/15 we sent an estimator out to look at the damage. He took pics and spoke with the homeowner and we have a crew scheduled to go out next week to fix stucco around 5 downspouts. If you have any other questions please let me...

know. Thanks, [redacted]Controller###-###-#### EX: [redacted] - Work###-###-#### - Fax

I have been corresponding with Mr [redacted] often to resolve this issue. We have gone out to water test his roof four times because he believed there was a leak. After the GAF(manufacturer) inspector went on site he wrote in his report...

the "condensation/water was on the underside of the membrane when the two areas were cut open. This condition is considered an owner responsible item. Repairs to correct the condition are the responsibility of the owner."
I have attached his report for your review.
The roof and all its entities were installed properly and according to manufacturer's specifications and building code regulations. This project passed [redacted] inspections and received a 10 out of 10 on the GAF 20 year warranty inspection.
I spoke with [redacted], the GAF Area Manager, and he informed me the manufacturers specification Mr [redacted] has been referencing is an outdated version of the manufactures Spec which was replaced by 2013's spec. The verbiage is not the same.
We (myself, NCR owner [redacted], the GAF inspector, and the GAF area Manager) are forming a plan that would eliminate the condensation problem Mr [redacted] is experiencing.

Hello,
I have read their response but they have not provided any backup documentation to support their claim. The only documentation I have I downloaded directly from the manufacturer website, and it clearly shows they did not build our roof according to the GAF Technical Specification. NCRC has no real action to adequately addressed the condensation problem identified by GAF back in Feb. 4 months is far too long for a roofing company to allow a known problem to persist on a warrantied roof. I have no filed a claim with the State Contractors License Board, and today hope to file a claim with their insurance company. Hopefully this will get their attention and move them to action more than the Revdex.com complaint did, but at this point I'm no longer giving this company the benefit of doubt. It's really not looking good.

I replied the message that I received yesterday but it didn't get there. I had to wait because [redacted] at Northern California Roofing Co. called me that they will take care other problem in next few days.I did not accepted because I still have problem with roof & they not keep their promises. They promised me to fix bubbled up area on my TPO roof last week but it hasn't done yet. Please do not close the case yet.Thank you,[redacted]

Review: Hi [redacted],I'm contacting you because I'll still haven't gotten the cosmetic problems fixed from the ORIGINAL roof installation in 2007. You all did come out and move the downspouts. The original location the company chose, created flooding around the house foundation. I recognized that as an issue, but it seemed I had to fight to get them to come out and move them. Someone was also suppose to come out and patch the areas of of gashes and holes from the removal of the stucco when the downspouts on the front of the house were replaced. Those gashes and holes were not there originally and you can tell by the missing paint. One worker fixing the downspouts said I can just go to Home Depot and get the items needed to fix it. Well, just one of the problems with that is I didn't put the holes there. Now, I have sections of the "flashing"(?) popping up in different areas of the roof. So within 7 years, my roof looks worse than the original roof. At least then, I didn't have shingles and flashing flapping in the wind when it rains. I face in a southwestern direction, at the end of a court. It's like a wind tunnel on some days. I explained to the workers that the front of the house, especially the corners and overhangs need extra securing because of the way the wind blows into the court. Now I have a roofing problem. Since [redacted] is no longer at the company, I'll consider this your first request to get someone out here to fix this roof (which is shameful that I have to do this within seven (7) years of installation. I really hate to put this on you since I may not have had discussions with you in the past, but the roof needs to be fixed and I'm tired of asking you all to come out and do what should have been done seven (7) years ago upon installation. Thank you for your time.Desired Settlement: Northern California needs to fix the damage incurred on installation and also fix the new issues with the roof. I've contacted them multiple times about the new issues (and left msgs on the COO voice mail. To my knowledge, no one has responded about resolving these issues. I'm now 7 years into the new roof install and some sections of the roof look worse than the original roof that was removed. If they are not going to honor their warranty, then I think a partial refund of the $7,000+ is due.

Since I signed a contract with this company in June this year, I really regret about it. They started to work after three different groups came to my house three times and once a week. So far, they have not finished the whole job yet after I notify them many times in last a few months. I am suffering and worrying about it. I remind you all: Don't believe what the representative of this company promise for.
