I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. When I called Northern Firewood for the first time, I talked to Jackie on the phoneI asked her how much the firewood was per face cord, Jackie said, it was $per face cordI paid $per face cord last year and asked Jackie why the price went up so much in one yearJackie said, some of the company's selling seasoned firewood went out of business, and there is not a lot of seasoned firewood out there for sale, and that they season their firewood for 12-months and cover itThis is why she said, the firewood cost more this year from last year Also, I did not inspect the firewood before it was dumped in my drivewayAfter he dumped the firewood in my drive way, I pick up a piece of firewood and it was very heavy and I told him the firewood did not seem seasoned, and he said, to let it air dry for 1-weeks after I stack itAfter he left, I started stacking it and it was all heavy firewood, so I cut some of in half and it was all wet insidewhen I called to complain the same day the firewood was delivered on Monday 11/16/2015, Jackie said, she had not been working there very long and that she was sorry, but the owner would call me back in a couple of daysOn Thursday Carla called me back and said, they would pick up the wood and that the owner Lou said, to buy two face cords of seasoned firewood for starter woodI told Carla what Jackie told me when I bought the firewood, and Carla said, I would get a call back in a few daysI have never received a call from the owner to this dayThis is the worst service I have ever received from a company, and I do not appreciate it To Whom It May Concern,
When I responded to the email I received concerning Northern Firewood's
response, I made a mistake by not putting the word NOT in the paragraph
It should have read, On Thursday
Carla called me back and said, they would NOT pick up the firewoodI
have corrected and enclosed the my response below. Complaint I.D***
Sincerely, *** *** ***

Per your letter of November 30, 2015 pertaining to the complaint from [redacted], I would like to address some of his issues.  In his complaint, [redacted] claims that my employee, Jackie, told him the firewood was seasoned for 12-18 months and covered....

Jackie did not tell him that. She told him the split firewood was cut from logs that had been cut down for 8-10 months. She would not have told him the wood was covered as our wood sits on a cement pad out in the open. The wood delivered to him was wet due to the rain we had prior to his delivery. He was told to stack the wood in a dry/enclosed area and it would dry out in 1- 2 weeks.[redacted] was there when I delivered the wood. He inspected the load and had me dump the wood in his driveway. The time for him to have made a complaint would have been before the 10 face cords, 7 tons of wood, was dropped in his driveway. We cannot control Mother Nature when it rains. Wood will get wet. We suggested that he purchase his wood earlier and get it under cover. Northern Firewood relinquishes any further involvement with [redacted] and will no longer do business with him.  Louis S[redacted] Owner Northern Firewood & Earth Products  81 Luther Rd West Monroe NY 13167
