Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: There are many parts of ***'s statement that are simply untrueFirst of all, our wood was stacked and covered with a tarp shortly after delivery (all within hours and prior to the storm of 6-inches), the reason we waited one full day is because we tried to start a fire the day after the wood was delivered and the wood hissed and had water dripping from the end in the fireplace; it was then that I made the first phone call to [redacted] complaining about the wood he delivered being unseasonedWe stacked the wood after that conversation because [redacted] stated flat out that he would NOT pick up the wood he delivered and refund our money but instead would deliver us some drier wood and / or give us a partial refundThe wood has been stacked and covered since that day and has not been exposed to rain or snow, which [redacted] would know if he ever came to our house to deliver the "drier" wood that he promised not only during that first conversation but in additional conversationsSecondly, we used a wood splitter to split some of the wood that [redacted] delivered and it is very obvious that the wood is wet on the inside, meaning not seasoned as advertisedIf the wood was simply exposed to some rain or snow because he stores it outside it would be wet on the outer part of the wood, not the centerThe wood also hisses and literally drips water bubbles out of the ends when placed in the fire, again a clear sign that it is not seasoned woodBoth my husband and I explained this each time we spoke with [redacted] on the phoneHe apologized multiple times and each time promised to deliver additional drier wood stating he was at "a drier part of the wood pile now." He has never arrived to deliver any drier wood, or refund any of our money; both of which we stated was acceptable [redacted] never returned our phone calls and would only answer if we called from a different (unknown) number, the only time he called us back is when we left a message stating we were calling about purchasing firewood from yet another phone numberWhen he called that number back, he was taken back that it was me, again, complaining about his product and that he still had not made good on his promise to deliver us dry woodThat right there shows the type of business person [redacted] isI'd like to also add that he puts the ad in the paper as Northern Tree & Construction, most likely in an effort to conceal his F rating with the Revdex.comHad he listed the ad under his actual company name of Northern Landscaping, we could have easily seen that he had an F rating and would have taken our business elsewhereIf [redacted] would like to please his customers he should start with the basics of selling the quality of product he advertises (seasoned versus unseasoned), returning their phone calls and keeping his word when he says he will make it rightHe should also stop using different company names to conceal his bad rating with the Revdex.com and stop lying when he replies to customer complaints We'd accept a full refund and he can pick up his wood as he stated he would do in his rebuttal to my original complaintSince he clearly stated multiple times that he was not willing to do so and his previous failed promises to deliver us dry wood and/ or a partial refund, we are understandably skeptical that he will contact us to do either Sincerely, [redacted]

I have read there respond to our problem.I am sorry we could not help you any further. It's just that I have been taken advantage of so many times in the past that I refuse to keep giving my firewood away to those that are using the system to get more for there buck.I will contact *** tomorrow to set up a good time to bring there $ to them and pick up my wood.I will have a positive attitude while I am there so no need for any more stress on both parts. We are a good company and take pride in our hundreds of costumers that call us back year after year.As for my F rating Revdex.com score,it used to be an A+ until I came across people that would rather try to ruin someone life than just, not call back for more wood if they were not happy with my product.I wish I Knew of a way to fix this problem since I have not had a complaint in over years. My company name is Northern Tree and Landscaping,I do all kinds of work in the area an d for the last years I"ve been very successful.Maybe people that want firewood perfect they should cut and split it themselves!!

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
Their response is laughable.......this wood is so green it's not even funnyThere's NO WAY the wood delivered was seasoned for yearsIf it was, it would be cracked at the cut ends, which it was notEach log is very heavy because it's still so full of water due to the high moisture content. It DOES NOT BURN...period
If he thinks he's selling a full cord, then he should measure again because he's ripping people offA tape measure does not lie, & their cords are not full cords
I have no interest in ever doing business with them again & will make sure no one I know does, since they are dishonest & disreputable
Sincerely,
*** ***

I delivered *** cords of firewood weeks ago.All my firewood has been seasoned for years now.I delivered him clean dry seasoned firewood. Before delivery I told him that I keep all my wood in log length,so when its delivered it is as clean and dry as possible. We do not keep our firewood inside
so the moisture content can not be as dry as wood kept inside,*** must seems to think so.On the phone we agreed that I would deliver cords of seasoned firewood for $370.00.When I arrived at his house(min away)he started talking about how $to $of the $will go to the IRS.He said he would pay cash and demanded a discount.I said no that"s okay I will just take my cords of seasoned firewood and bring it to someone who will appreciate my hard work and cords of firewood. He said no,no I want the wood, whats the lowest you can go?I said $please. He too a few wheel barrels of wood inside and told me to unload the wood.As we unloaded he took firewood away(pleased to have a great load of wood.)All my cords are measured by the bucket and are 99% exact.I take pride in bringing firewood that is going to keep my costumers nice and warm.I do not deliver green firewood.*** is just another scam artist that"s trying to take advantage of my buisness and the system. He told me that he owns his own buisness and tried to give me a lesson in his driveway.I simply humored him.We deliver hundreds of cords of firewood and we have hundreds of happy repeat costumers that buy their wood off me every year.So its nice to weed out the bad ones.*** will not receive any more firewood form us ever again nor will we refund any money. He knows he got a great deal and is just trying to take advantage of me.Thank you very much and have a nice day!!

I am rejecting this response because:

There are many parts of [redacted]'s statement that are simply untrue. First of all, our wood was stacked and covered with a tarp shortly after delivery (all within 48 hours and prior to the storm of 6-8 inches), the reason we waited one full day is because we tried to start a fire the day after the wood was delivered and the wood hissed and had water dripping from the end in the fireplace; it was then that I made the first phone call to [redacted] complaining about the wood he delivered being unseasoned. We stacked the wood after that conversation because [redacted] stated flat out that he would NOT pick up the wood he delivered and refund our money but instead would deliver us some drier wood and / or give us a partial refund. The wood has been stacked and covered since that day and has not been exposed to rain or snow, which [redacted] would know if he ever came to our house to deliver the "drier" wood that he promised not only during that first conversation but in 2 additional conversations. Secondly, we used a wood splitter to split some of the wood that [redacted] delivered and it is very obvious that the wood is wet on the inside, meaning not seasoned as advertised. If the wood was simply exposed to some rain or snow because he stores it outside it would be wet on the outer part of the wood, not the center. The wood also hisses and literally drips water bubbles out of the ends when placed in the fire, again a clear sign that it is not seasoned wood. Both my husband and I explained this each time we spoke with [redacted] on the phone. He apologized multiple times and each time promised to deliver additional drier wood stating he was at "a drier part of the wood pile now." He has never arrived to deliver any drier wood, or refund any of our money; both of which we stated was acceptable.
[redacted] never returned our phone calls and would only answer if we called from a different (unknown) number, the only time he called us back is when we left a message stating we were calling about purchasing firewood from yet another phone number. When he called that number back, he was taken back that it was me, again, complaining about his product and that he still had not made good on his promise to deliver us dry wood. That right there shows the type of business person [redacted] is. I'd like to also add that he puts the ad in the paper as Northern Tree & Construction, most likely in an effort to conceal his F rating with the Revdex.com. Had he listed the ad under his actual company name of Northern Landscaping, we could have easily seen that he had an F rating and would have taken our business elsewhere. If [redacted] would like to please his customers he should start with the basics of selling the quality of product he advertises (seasoned versus unseasoned), returning their phone calls and keeping his word when he says he will make it right. He should also stop using different company names to conceal his bad rating with the Revdex.com and stop lying when he replies to customer complaints.

We'd accept a full refund and he can pick up his wood as he stated he would do in his rebuttal to my original complaint. Since he clearly stated multiple times that he was not willing to do so and his previous failed promises to deliver us dry wood and/ or a partial refund, we are understandably skeptical that he will contact us to do either.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

I delivered [redacted] one cord of firewood about a month ago.The firewood was seasoned before delivery,as is all our firewood. We have had lots of winter storms this year and its hard to keep all of our firewood out of the weather because we do not keep it inside. But after delivery we had a storm of 6-8...

inches of snow.[redacted] did not stack her firewood nor did she cover it with a tarp to keep it dry.It was left out in the rain and snow. How can you expect the wood to burn if it is soaking wet.I explain this to them as best as I could. If their not happy,I will refund all of their money and come and pick my wood up.I'm sorry for any problems.I take pride in delivering nice, dry, seasoned firewood to all my costumers.Sometimes you can't please them all.

I am rejecting this response because:

As I expected when I read [redacted]'s response I still have not heard from him. I even gave him the extra few days just in case he would make good on his promise and call. I am quite honestly tired of bickering back and forth. Had [redacted] kept his word and either delivered us a partial refund or dropped off some dry seasoned wood then we never would have filed a complaint. My husband told [redacted] that if he didn't keep his word (the 3rd time he said he would make it right and deliver dry wood) that we would be filing a complaint with the Revdex.com, so [redacted] you had fair warning that we would be doing so. We do not wish to ruin you nor your business, we pride ourselves in frequently shopping at small local businesses, however you cannot lie to people nor avoid their calls/complaints and expect it not to affect your business or Revdex.com rating. Had you not apologized and agreed to give us a partial refund and / or drop off dry wood as mentioned multiple times then we would not be in this predicament. We are not / we're not trying to get more for our buck as you state, nor we're we attempting to take advantage of you; we simply wanted what you advertised & what we discussed, wood that we could burn to heat our home this year; not wet unseasoned wood that will now be burned next year.  If you wish for this complaint to be resolved you can send us a partial refund, otherwise it will remain on your Revdex.com rating. You can rest assured that you will not receive any of our business in the future.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Review: I bought 2 cords of wood 2 weeks ago for $180 each....the wood was supposedly seasoned for 2 years, which is an outright lie. It was freshly cut, very green & with a high moisture content up in the 20's. It DOES NOT burn. The wood was stacked & measured by me & it was not 2 full cords....it was 1/2 cord short which is worth $90. A cord is 4'x4'x8', which is 128 cubic feet; 2 cords would be 256 cubic feet. The wood delivered measured 5'x5'x8', which is 200 cubic feet, which is 56 cubic feet short of 2 cords. If this is what they regularly sell as a cord, each cord is 1/4 short....if you bought four chords, you'd only be getting 3.Desired Settlement: This wood is of no use to me now (when I need it) since it's too wet & DOES NOT burn. If they have seasoned wood, I would prefer these 2 cords be replaced.I would consider keeping it for use next year, in which case I would either like an additional 1/2 cord delivered or a refund of $90 to make up for the missing 1/2 cord.

Review: Purchased firewood from [redacted] from an ad in the newspaper. Ad stated seasoned, split & delivered for $180/cord. Firewood was delivered,(asked the driver if it was seasoned as well), the firewood is not seasoned, it's unusable this season and will not light. Contacted [redacted] the next day, he requested we "give it a few days to dry out" and that he was "using it to heat his own house"After a few days, the wood will still will not light, used a ax and split the wood which is clearly wet and not seasoned. Called [redacted] 3 times, left 2 messages in which he did not return. Called him from a different number and he answered. After discussing the issues, [redacted] stated he would deliver some dryer wood &/or refund some money to us. He stated he was at a "dryer part of his wood pile now" [redacted] never showed up. Attempted to contact him again, did not return calls. Called from yet another number in which he again answered and stated yet again that he was sorry & would deliver more wood. He has yet to do so, will not return calls or answer his phone. Last contact was February 10th in which he hung up on my husband.Desired Settlement: We would like a partial refund or some additional dry seasoned wood as it was advertised.
