Ms [redacted]I believe there was some confusion with the repayment options. The 3rd option; the option you selected, only puts the minimum amount required towards your principal. This option is the longest. If you would like to call us back at 888-667-8499 one of our friendly loan officers would...

To Whom It May Concern,Ms [redacted] received a loan from our company on 4/10/2015. Attached is the copy of Ms [redacted]'s signed loan agreement which details the dates we would be drafting payments from her bank account.  When we attempted our first draft on 4/10/2015 (as is stated in the loan...

contract) the payment came back returned to us R01 (which is insufficient funds.) On 4/21/2015 Ms [redacted] called and spoke to one of our agents and was upset stating that the funds from the payment drafted on the 10th of April had gone through and that is shows on her account, This is a common mistake customers make when they don't have the funds in there account to cover the charge of the payment. They will see the transaction debited from their account but once the bank sees that there were not enough funds available to cover the transaction they will return the payment. Which many times the client does not notice because the bank will take their Insufficient funds fee out of that returned payment. So while on the phone with Ms [redacted], my agent offered to do a 3-way call with her bank figure out what happened. While attempting to call the bank to confirm the payment was returned Ms [redacted] disconnected the call and then called back 15 minutes later and spoke with one of our supervisors who was able to relay to the costumer exactly what happen with this payment on 4/10/15. It was at that time that Ms [redacted] was informed that, as a courtesy, we would push her payment schedule back and reset up the missed payment from 4/10 on 4/24( the clients next due date which is clearly detailed in the loan contract.) That payment of 4/24 went through and we had not heard from the client until this complaint. Ms [redacted]'s next scheduled payment for 5/8/15( again as in clearly stated in the loan contract) also came back returned Insufficient funds today. Which forced her entire balance in collections. We are completely willing to work out and arrangement with our client that meet her financial situation. But as you can see clearly on the signed agreement we were authorized for that draft on 4/24 as it went in accordance with her payment schedule. Please call me at ###-###-#### if you have any questions of concerns

Revdex.com,
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

If this is this case I completely apologize for any inconvenience this way have caused you. It is possible that your account was not status'd correctly and you are still recieving system generated emails for the reason. If you are able to supply me with any information so I can access your record. I...

would be happy to correct this for you!

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this customer complaint. Ms. [redacted] applied for a $500.00 loan, which was funded on August 9, 2016. After researching her account, we found that she made all of her payments as outlined in her loan agreement, and she has no outstanding balance. We...

attempted to contact her by phone on November 2, and November 7, 2017, to discuss her concerns, but were unsuccessful. However, our collections manager left her a detailed message regarding her account. We encourage Ms. [redacted] to contact us if she has any other concerns.

Revdex.com,I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I remember having the recorded conversation with Isabel, but the amount was NOT explained to me in full details.  Yes she advised option 1 was the most expensive way to go, but I had no idea it would be that expensive.  Yes I take partial responsability in not looking at the 874.4% annual percentage rate on the loan. The agreement is deceiving. From the looks of it, it seems that I was allowed to be able to get up to $3317.93 and you only started me out with $487.50.  Below is email communication between Isabel and I. I feel cheated and I have paid you enough money to cover the amount of money I received.  I don't have anything to do with the cost of you running your company so NO, I don't accept this offer. Paying you one more payment is still no where near the amount you wanted me to pay back so what difference will that make?
Thanks for that information. I will forward this along with the other emails to my lawyer. Thanks again for all your help.

[redacted], I am looking at your application right now. For the first four payments I'll give you a break down. Date              Applied to principle        Interest              Total Amount 07/10/15       $0.16                               $146.25            $146.4107/24/15       $0.21                               $146.20            $146.4108/07/15       $0.27                               $146.14            $146.4108/21/15       $0.35                               $146.06            $146.41These are the amounts that are applied towards your principle. This is why I made it very clear to NOT proceed with options one. Everything was very well explained to you from the beginning. I can resend you once again the payment options and go over it with you if needed. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks,Isabel

Isabel,
Ok, no problem. I think I will have to have a lawyer look into this. I need to know exact numbers but it seems I can’t get that information. I know it has to be some kind of illegal activity to charge that amount of money. The payment schedule below makes it seem like in the end I will have paid back $3,805.43 for a loan that was only $487.50. If I’m still missing it, please explain it to me.
I do appreciate you going above and beyond to try and help me.

[redacted],The amount only being applied to it is a small amount in change. It varies each time you make a payment by it increasing to help you pay it off. As far as adding additional funds I wouldn't be able to only because not much has been applied towards the principle. I am so sorry about this. I was trying to let my supervisor know but unfortunately I cant. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Isabel

Isabel,
Ok. I do remember discussing that. With that being said, do you know, although small, how much is actually applied to the amount itself?  Also were you able to allow me to get the extra funding?

[redacted], The amount that you have been paying is the minimum of the finance fee which is option 1. Remember that options only applies a very small amount towards your principle which takes longer for you to pay it off. This is the option I was warning you about in the beginning to avoid. I will paste the payment options on the bottom for you. Any questions please let me know. Thanks, Isabel Option 1: You follow the schedule of payments on your loan agreement. The schedule allows you to pay a fixed amount on each one of your scheduled due dates. This is the minimum amount you need to pay on each pay period. Each payment will have a portion going towards your principal and a portion going towards your finance fee. This is the longest and most expensive option.Option 2: You can fast pay your loan, which is paying your finance fee, plus an extra amount towards your principal. The extra amount must be in increments of $10.00. This will reduce your total payments due on the loan. Please remember to contact us at least 3 business days before your due date so we can adjust the payment for you.Option 3: You can pay your loan in full. Which is the principal amount PLUS the finance fee. Please remember to contact us at least 3 business days before your due date so we can adjust the payment for you.

$300 will be fine if you can do it or $400 if that will go through. It will give me some cash to have until I get paid again next Friday. No, my income has not gone up. Actually everyone at work just got pay cuts. My salary went down .23 per hour, sad to say.
I do have another question however. From one of your earlier emails, I asked about my balance. You advised I have a balance of $517.79. I have made 4 successful payments of $146.41 each, making a total of $585.64. How is it that I still owe $517.79?  The original amount that was deposited into my checking account was $475 and some odd cents. I think you explained it before but I must have misunderstood something.

[redacted], I cannot do $500.00 unfortunately. This is only because you have been paying the min amount on your loan and you haven't called to do partial payments on the loan principle. I can see if I can do $300.00. I have a question. Has by any chance your income gone a bit higher than before or you have more fuller checks so I can update the income information? Please let me know so I can find anyway to help you out. Thanks, Isabel

Isabel,

How much is the balance? I know I don't have enough to pay it off though. I'm hoping that before the day is out or by tomorrow, it will show as paid. I will check with you again on tomorrow. Thanks for checking.

It still shows pending in my end which will not allow me to do a loan transfer for you. The only way I can is if you paid in full now with your debit card and then get the funds today or wait and see if tomorrow we can do it. Please let me know.

Thanks,

Isabel

Ms [redacted], Thank you for giving us this oppurtunity to address your concerns. I have gone ahead and removed your personal information for our database. You will no longer receive any correspondence from Northern Plains Fundling

Good Morning Mr. [redacted]First I would like to point out that the screen shot of the website and the email you are referencing  states that you were "Pre-approved" following pre-approval our representatives needs to go through  a verification process to finalize the loan.Unfortunately...

your application was not approved by our underwriters. It was not because you worked in the restaurant industry. We have plenty of clients from this work force.  I do apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Northern Plains Funding

Good Afternoon [redacted], Thank you for giving us the opportunity to address your concerns We have been attempting to get in contact with you regarding your account please give us a call back at 855-711-0119 so we can get this resolved. Thank you steve

Thank you for letting us address you concerns.

The personal information that was requested is the underwriting process of the loan.

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: Even though I've signed the agreement, the principle amounts charged are extremely unfair from the start.  I felt that I had no other choice to agree due to the fact that I have bad credit and had no other option for an loan.  The percentage rates are extremely high and unfair.  It is highly unlikely that I will ever agree to such a loan in the future.

Ms. [redacted],Thank you for giving us the opportunity to address your concerns. I will have someone call you first thing monday morning to explain the payment options. You are not required to pay the full amount shown on your loan agreement. That is only if you choose to pay the...

minimum amount due on each of your due dates. Rest assured after you speak with our supervisor we will have you repayment plan set up accordingly. Thank you Steve

Our client signed a an agreement which outlines every scheduled payment date and amount. This agreement also explains the terms and payment options for this loan, which an agent reviewed with our client before signing. Since receiving this notice we have contacted our client to reach a agreement...

that accommodates our client. We are ensuring that our client is completely comfortable with their options.Thank you.

We have already spoken with [redacted] and have refunded his desired amount and worked out a repayment option that works for the client. Mr [redacted] has agreed to the proposal on 8/29/16

Northern Plains takes full responsibility for the errors on Ms [redacted] bank account. And we have worked with Ms [redacted] in order to refund all charges that were deducted as well as make up for any bank fee's she was inconvenienced by. I (Operation Manager) personally got on the phone with Ms [redacted]...

and her banking associate to take full responsibility and ask the banking associate to not hold Ms [redacted] responsible for our error. And he informed the both of us that he would be reversing the charge.I know it does not really matter at this point but the reason for the two deductions after the loan was denied was because it was previously approved and then kicked back by our underwriting department and was then very closed. Complete human error and not how Northern Plains conducts business.[redacted]

Mr [redacted],Sorry for the delay, my name is [redacted] and I would be happy to assist you with any of the question you have in relation to the loan you received. Please call us at [redacted]

Good Afternoon, Thank you for giving us the opportunity to address your concerns, Attached is a copy of the loan contract signed by [redacted] on Nov 17 2016. Following finalization of the loan an email was sent to [redacted]@gmail.com detailing the payment options and how they need to be set...

up. If Mr. [redacted] has any questions or would like to discuss options I would be more then happy to helpSteve

Regarding complaint #[redacted] the company northern plains funding has resolved my complaint by sending an email stating the denial after speaking with several different associates I am satisfied.
