Dear Revdex.com,Concerning ID #11959192Mr [redacted] purchased this ford from a fried of mineThe fenders were heavily blistered from rust coming from the inside outHe asked if I could fix the fenders from him if he bought the carHe was told by me that the fenders had obviously been repaired before and to do a proper repair that he would need to aquire replacement fendersMr [redacted] said to me that he was going to resale this car and he did not want to put that much money in a car he was not keepingHe was told that I did not want to repair themhe still insisted he was reselling the car and thats all he wanted to doHe was told rust was like cancer and here are no gaurantees it would not returnwe repaired the fender per his requestI do not warranty rust.Mr [redacted] has had this car for sale for months now and he hasn't been able to sell it for his first advertised price of 15,and so he has come down to 14,the old car market is a little weak right now on cars of this era and he hasnt been able to sell itHe simply gambled on a repair that he chose and it didnt work out to his favor so he wants me to pay for itWhen he initially came back to my shop with the issue of the rust returning I said I would warranty it but then I tired to help him out and told him if he went ahead and got replacement fenders I would paint them but he would have to pay to have them installedHe didn't like that either and he contracted the Attorney Generals office back in August which I am assuming now hasnt worked out to his favor so he is now contacting the Revdex.comHe first wanted back and then said would satisfy himAs per his quote of another Body shop would paint his entire car for dollars, he made the same quote to the Attorney Generals office which he included the Name [redacted] Auto painting which is a production paint facility and not known for doing show car work by any means.I took the liberty of calling [redacted] in Bloomington ILand was told that the only warranty they give on rust is a day warranty if they weld new metal in and other than that there is absolutely no warranty on rustI am enclosing a copy of the ad that Mr [redacted] put on Craigslist for this car, again he purchased this car with the intention of reselling it at a profit, he simply didnt get it sold before the rust returned and he wants me to pay for his bad judgement on not repairing the fenders the was I suggested so I feel he has nothing coming back to him an any wayThank you Butch Tull Owner Butchs Autoo Body

I am rejecting this response because:
He offers a lifetime guarantee on work. He made the estimate of 700 to repair the so called rust however he simply sanded and painted over the defective paint. Poor surface prep, simple as that
