Good morning, I remain dissatisfied with the offer from the dealer because he was dishonest in the sale of the vehicle The vehicle was listed "as is" to which I inquired twice before its purchase of any faults or issues that I needed to be aware of AJ told me that they knew of none but if I had a problem within days to bring the vehicle back and he would help me out I also inquired about a warranty because I figured if nothing else I could buy one just to be safe and AJ informed me that his dealership doesn't offer warranties Which is different than what he told me on the phone Through this whole process AJ has done nothing but lie to me about the history and value of the vehicle Insent a separate email with screens showcasing that this gentleman has a history of fraud and shady business deals The cost of the transmission has set me back so far that I may not be able to actually make my first payment on the truck to cover all the other bills I have

We feel it is unreasonable to ask for additional money back on top of the discount given at time of saleFurther more this vehicle was sold As IS and we have already completed a free customer good will repair of a $tail light with free installationWe would also like to point out the items she pointed out are part of routine maintenancePlease call us at if you have any additional requests or concerns

Tell us why hereUnfortunately it is impossible to determine what the cause of the transmission failure was due to the fact that we have no idea what happens to these vehicles after they leave here As far as we know the customer owned three of these trucks before this one and has extensive experience with this make and model, and had the opportunity to test drive it before agreeing to purchaseAlso the buyer informed us the same day of delivery that they will have their mechanic friend inspect the vehicle as well as take it on a long trip out of state if I'm not mistaken.The customer purchased this vehicle on June notified us on July by our calculations this is about 1/weeks later that the transmission instantly went out without any warning We have advised the customer that we have found a transmission that is a Jasper rebuilt as well as another one with 78,miles selling for $Our mechanic quoted us $for the install new filter and new fluid we have offered to pass the savings on to the customer as the customer has stated it will cost almost to fix it at their shop We have also advise the customer that any time a transmission goes without any warning this is usually related to a switch or electronic problem but we have not been able to inspect the vehicle or see the vehicle since the claim in order to determine what the issue was and if we could have fixed it for a lower amount than even the $for the complete replacementThis vehicle books out for around $13,we sold it for $it would be virtually impossible to make such a small profit on any vehicle and also pay for any repairs that vehicle may need in the future.At the time of sale in accordance with federal and Virginia law we disclosed to the customer the terms and conditions of the sale in writingThese terms and conditions were for as is sale only with the statement that reads "I understand that this vehicle is being sold as is with all faults and is not covered by any dealer warrantyI understand that the dealer is not required to make any repairs after I buy this vehicle I will have to pay for any repairs this vehicle will need." In addition to the as is form on the buyers order we have a separate window sticker called a buyers guide it is clearly checked off "as is no warranty" with the statement underneath that reads "you will pay all cost for any repairs the dealer assumes no responsibility for any repairs regardless of any oral statements about the vehicle" We feel that it is unfair to buy a vehicle at the discounted price and also not pay any additional for warranty protection and still claim the seller is liable for repairs when it is clearly stated on the bill of sale and on the buyers order that this vehicle will not be covered by any dealer warranty and that the dealer assumes no responsibility for any repairsHowever we have a solid years in the business and many resources on where to get parts cheap and we have mechanics who gives excellent deals and we are happy to pass the savings onto our buyer.Due to the fact that this transmission went out instantly without any warning it is entirely possible that a sensor or switch is the cause of the problem and we highly advise to let one of our trusted mechanics take a look for a second opinion to make sure the mechanic at the other store is not over charging or simply misdiagnosed a simple problemIn fact the shop we work with will not charge a single penny for the diagnostic and we encourage the buyer to take advantage as it never hurts to have a second opinionEven though the buyer chose to buy the vehicle" as is "the option to have the job done here for instead of $shows that we will help to the best of our abilities even after an "as is" sale

I'm sorry to here the customer is not happy with usHere is our side they called us to put a NON REFUNDABLE deposit to hold the vehicle till they had a chance to view and DECIDE if the vehicle was for them or notAfter viewing the vehicle they had some concerns we offered a discount of $ [redacted] they said no we want a discount of $***At that point we offered to fixed the issues like the door latch which was literally fixed in minutes with grease on the latchThey did not agree to us make repairs eitherThe customer then demanded there deposit back and I reminded them that I am the one who told them not to put a deposit over the phone as I am working with a local buyer the customer insisted they wanted the vehicle placed on holdI sent the deposit form which is attached to this response and it clearly states the deposit is non refundable and also please do not put this vehicle on hold if your not sure if you want to buy it or not its not fair to us and other people who may want the same car
