Review: My daughter needed replacement eyeglasses, I went the this eye dr and told them we are members of [redacted] and insurance should cover the visit. The receptionist looked up the information, said we were not on [redacted]'s plan and I had to pay full price for the glasses. I called [redacted] that day, April 9, 2013 and they immediatly called the dr's office and told them we were covered. I went back the next day to get a refund and they said they would mail a check. I still have not received reimbursement, I called [redacted] and found out that the dr's office never filed the claim. [redacted] said that the accountant would call me which she did not. I went back to the Dr's office today, I was told the accountant was out to lunch, after waiting about 10 minutes I spoke with the office manager and told her I was aware that they never filed my claim, my credit card payment is due and I wanted my refund. She said the senior manager's policy was that they would issue a check once the claim was filed and that they didn't usually file claims the same day as service. I said that there is no excuse for not filing my claim for almost a month, if I hadn't pursued this I would probably never have heard from them, I told her I am going to have to pay from my own account, lose that interest and pay interest on the credit card as well. They were very vague about their refund policy and when I asked to see it in writing was told that the manager had it and wouldn't be in until tomorrow. This is an unethical business practice, it would have been a simple matter of issuing a refund to my credit card but I can't get any straight answers from this office and I still don't have any idea as to when I am supposed to receive a refund if ever. The woman I spoke with also told me they submitted the claim today but when I spoke again with [redacted] they still have not received the claim.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund to my credit card or a check within the week. They have had this claim since April 9th and have not submitted for a refund until I had to personally go to their office today, and as of this moment they still have not submitted the claim. Everyone I need to talk to at the Dr's office is either out to lunch or won't be in until another day. This is very unprofessional and a really inappropriate way to conduct a business.
