Northgate Express Wash Reviews (4)

I am rejecting the response from Northgate Espress Wash in Idaho Falls because the owner [redacted] is lying and providing information. My car was in fine working condition before I entered the car wash and there was not anything dragging from underneath the vehicleMy mechanic will provide his testimony---he worked on my car and was underneath it shortly before I went to the car wash and he will testify that my car was not damaged in any way and that it was in good working conditionI keep a close eye on my car and take good care of itI would not have entered the car wash if I knew that it was damaged in any way. When I put my money in to purchase the wash-- I assumed that I could put my three dollars in and then add money to upgrade just as one would at most car washesI did add three dollars but it just added some other feature but did not upgrade the wash. When I pulled into the car wash bay I asked the wash attendant to make sure that I had purchased a wash that was sufficient to get my car cleanI explained to him that I had put the three dollars in the machine and that I had added more money to upgrade the washI then told him that I was sure that I had not actually upgraded the lowest priced price wash and that I had only added a feature that was some sort of wax treatment or sealant.I stated to him that I did not think that the wash that I had purchased was sufficient and that I wanted him to check on that for me and to correct the situation of not having the proper car wash purchase. The car wash attendant assured me that the car wash that I had selected would be all right and that it would get my car cleanI was not happy with the fact that the attendant did not respect my opinion and that he would not help me get a better wash. The car wash attendant then hurried and started to direct me to go forward into the wash bay and he was very impatient with me and he kept telling me to make my steering wheel turn towards the right direction so that my car would be positioned in and on the tracks to pull my car through car washThe attendant then kept telling me to go forward and keep turning to the right when all of a sudden he threw his hands in the air and yelled stopHe then looked under the car and then he stood up and then walked over to my carHe then told me that there was something under my car that was dragging and that it was caught on the trackI was very alarmed and wanted to back out of the car washI told the attendant that I did not want to do anymore damage to my car and that I was very concernedThe attendant then told me that it wàs merely a piece of plastic and that it was not seriousHe assured me that everything would be fine and told me that I should put my car into neutral and allow the car wash to wash my car.I had doubts and was very unhappy and had a feeling that there would be more damage to my car but listened to the attendant because I thought he knew what he was doing and that he was being honest with me.After the car wash was finished I pulled out and heard something dragging underneath my carI then look underneath the car and saw some damageI also looked at the exterior then noticed that my car was still dirty and that the car wash had not cleaned my car very wellI quickly pulled into the parking lot by the office and then went into the office to report the damage and also to let them know that the car was still dirty. There was a young man in the office and I told him that I wanted to talk to the managerHe told me that there was no one availableI explained to him that I wanted someone with some authority to examine the damage that had been done to my carHe said he could not do anything and that nothing could be doneI told him that I wanted the managers name and contact number and he refused to divulge any informationI wrote down my name and number and demanded that he report the damage to his superiors and that I would expect them to call me because he refused to help me in any wayHe the told me that the manager or owner would call meI informed the office worker that I was heading straight to my mechanic and that to make sure the manager was aware of the situation and to have him give me a call as soon as possible. As I pulled out of the car wash parking lot the part that was damaged in the car wash bay track was dangling and dragging underneath the left front portion of my carI drove home and then called my mechanic and he was not available to look at the carI then called a local reputable car repair shop and they informed me that the plastic guard underneath the car was important and that it was essential to protect the motor from rocks, dirt and any other harmful elementsHe told me to come straight into the shop in the morning.I called back and reported the information that the shop mechanic had told me to the Northgate Car WashAgain I was told that nothing could be doneOnce again I told them that I wanted a call from someone who had managerial capabilities.I then did receive a call that evening from the car wash attendant...who refused to help me with the car was selection and that had forced me into washing the carThe attendant told me that my car was damaged before I had come into the car wash and that basically it was all my faultI told him that I was going to get my car looked at in the morning and that I would return to The Northgate Car Wash to report the actual damage and would want my car repaired to its original condition.I did go directly into the shop to have my car evaluated the next morningThe mechanic at the shop removed the damaged part and told me that I should return to the car wash and show them what had been damaged in their car wash.Upon the arrival to the car wash I was very discouraged and upsetOnce again I went back into the office and asked to speak to a manager but again no one cared or responded in any wayI then told them I was going to sue them in order to correct the damage that had occurred to my car in their car wash and that I would put a post on Facebook and contact the Revdex.comAfter that the attendant (who had told me that my car would get clean and who had also informed me that my car was fine going through their wash) voluntarily agreed to look at my car and make a damage reportHe also then gave me a business card with the owner's name and email addressThe attendant told me that the manager would call meNo one contacted me after that time. After that I sent an email to the owner to the car wash explaining the entire situationHe then called me and told me that he and the manager were both out of town and they would address the situation as soon as they were in town. After several days passed the manager then called me and all he did was say that my car was damaged before I came in and that I was basically lying and that there was no solution to the problemI told him that I would not accept his accusations and that I did not appreciate being called a liarHe then said he would have the manager call me[redacted] called me and told me that he would me with me when he was able to return to townWe set up an appointment for July 3rd at 12:I informed him that happened to be my lunch hour and that we would have to make it brief in order for me to return to work on timeI arrived at the car wash ten minutes before our appointmentI waited and waited and he was approximately minutes lateAfter that I showed him the damaged part of my car and started to explain the incident and then he stopped me and brought out the car wash attendant who had assured me that my car would clean and also told me to take car through car washThe attendant just happened to be [redacted] son[redacted] refused to listen to me and then told me to listen to his son and to hear his son's side of the story [redacted] then explained to me that he did not believe that my car was in good shape when it came in and that he refused to believe that any damage occurred in his car washHe took pictures of the damaged part and the only thing that he offered was a free car washHe and his son contradicted everything that I attempted to explain and refused to accept any responsibility for any damagesHe was abrupt, abrasive and was not very professional. My mechanic will verify that my car was in good condition before I entered the car wash. The owner and the staff were very rude to me and accused me of making complaints[redacted] is lying and falsifying the information that he is giving in his response to the complaintHe is fully aware of the entire situation and is contradicting me when he says that I did not report the damage immediately after my car came out of his car washI reported the damage just minutes after I exited the car washHe is not taking responsibility for the fact that my car did not come cleanI told the attendant immediately after exiting the car wash that my car was not clean. Two of my cousins became aware of my situation and said that they paid a substantial amount of money to get their cars washed at Northgate Express Wash and that their cars did not get cleanOn of my cousins spent $and the other paid $My cousin was so disgusted with Northgate Express that she actually took a photo of her car after it came out of the car wash and posted on the car wash's FAcebook page to show how dirty it was after going through the car wash and she she also explained that she was not happy.Again I will state that my car was just fine before I entered the wash and it was damaged while in the car washMy car was not clean when it exited the wash.Thank you

[redacted] came to our car wash and as she approached the door she had a piece of plastic dragging under her car. When we examined the piece of plastic it was plain to see the previous damage. Clips designed to hold the plastic splash guard in place were missing and from the dirt and... grease that were in the cracks and the damaged areas the damage had been some time before she visited our car wash. (see attached photos)As for the car not being clean. She purchased a touch up wash for $3 and she got what she paid for, a touch up. She didn't mention her car not being clean until after we told her that her car was damaged before she visited our car wash and then she accused us of not cleaning her car. After watching our HD surveillance video she didn't come to our office until the following day to complain about her wash or the broken splash guard on her car.Her car could have very well have gotten dirty between the time of her touch up wash and her returning the next day. Our company takes pride on helping each customer have a clean shiny car when they exit our facility, but it is very important that we are informed of any situation immediately after they exit the car wash not 24 hours later. As for myself and my employees being rude. We have been very patient with her and I even walked her to the front of our car wash to show her that the conveyor guides only rise about 3 inches above the floor so in order for her splash guard to have been touching our conveyor guides it would have been dangling very low and could have been rubbing even when she when through a dip in the road. No one spoke unkindly to her or raised our voices. She may have felt we were being rude probably because we are not willing to pay for damages we didn't cause. It is very possible that this part on her car was damaged before she purchased the car.The only part of this splash guard that had any recent damage was on the very tip just left of toe of my shoe in this photo below. We have a 15 + years in the car wash business and take pride in our customer service and safe clean car wash.Sincerely [redacted]
