Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I was never given a loaner car anytime my van was there and my van was always in warranty when I brought it to you.  The area between the transmission and engine that you mentioned does not have an issue as it was checked on Monday and it is the transmission and nothing else.  The first time I had my van with you I had to pay for a rental so I could continue to work but that was too expensive the last time and since I had no way to get to work so I had to use a weeks vacation however I could have worked Monday-Thursday and just brought the van Friday.  The idea of this aggravates me because I had come in prior to this and set an actual date to drop the van off.  The issue of how I was treated does have something to do with your business as does all of your employees because they are a representation of your company.

I would not feel comfortable being at this business because of the way I was treated.  I also believe that since it was attempted twice I and did not resolve the issue that a third time would bring the same result.  The entire situation caused me so much stress that I did have to have my dad call and because he was my ride to get the van.  I was not permitted to wait at the business so I had to bother someone else to pick up the van later.

I am not perfect but admit when I am at fault at my job and make it right.
Regards,

I am not sure where to start to address this issue at. I am unsure what the multiple complaints are against myself, however, that should have nothing to do with my business.
That being said, I am quite aware of the issues being stated in [redacted]'s van. There have been several times where the van was...

brought to Northgate Transmission with a leak in the area of the engine/transmission meeting point. The last two repairs, were as follows. On repair one, we replace the front main seal and torque converter. The torque converter rides in that seal. The vehicle was road tested and showed no leaking at that that time. Therefore was released back to the customer. During that repair, the customer was in a loaner car that she did not have to pay for. The van came back ( out of warranty ) the next time, and we did not have a loaner car available at that time. The van was left with us for a duration of a week. [redacted] and her Dad would check in with me through the week to check progress. [redacted] is correct that the van was not in the shop until that Friday. At which time, we replace the front seal again, torque converter again, removed the pump and replaced the main o-ring, and resealed all of the pump bolts. The van was road tested and showed no leaks. The accusation that I did not remove the transmission because we did not have enough time as no credibility. When you remove and install transmissions as often as we do, taking the transmission out of a vehicle and performing a reseal is not a huge undertaking. Making false claims that we could not possibly of worked on the vehicle does not make me want to help people.
None the less, despite what [redacted] may think. I want her to be a satisfied customer. I appreciate business and do not want anyone to think that we take customers for granted.
Here is where the problem remains. I am concerned that the engine in [redacted]'s van is starting to show its age. Sometimes, when a vehicle will age it can develop what is called crank shaft endplay. This endplay is caused by wear in the main bearings of the engine. This allows the cranks shaft to actually move slightly, which is directly connected to the engine flywheel. The engine flywheel is directly connected to the transmission torque converter. The torque converter ( if able to move in and out due to this condition ) will destroy the front main seal of the transmission in a short period of time. I am concerned that this is what is taking place on the van. Making it have a leak, even after all the parts/seals are replaced.
I would be glad to offer [redacted] one more reseal of the front area. I will document with photo's that we are repairing and replacing what is needed to stop the leak. However, in return, it needs to be understood that if the leak was to return, there is a good possibility that what was suggested above is the probable cause.
In closing, Northgate Transmission will perform this reseal at no cost to [redacted]. I will provide her with transportation for the time that I have her vehicle in my possession. All parts will be documented with photos. Parts that do not have core charges will be given to [redacted] should she request to have them. In exchange, I simply ask that [redacted] realize we are doing everything possible to satisfy a customer. I do not want her van to leak, as much as she does not want it to leak.
This is what I can offer.
Thank you for your time
[redacted], simply call to set an appointment and we will have a free loaner car waiting.
