*** *** original repair on his Oldsmobile Aurora was done 3/16/with 152,milesHe did not return until 9/22/and 157,milesWe did a diagnosis on his concern in September and the vehicle has multiple diagnostic trouble codesAfter clearing the codes the only codes which
returned were a Pmisfire and a Pfuel tank pressureThis is all documented on his repair invoice The customer declined to go any further with repairsThe crank sensors are not going to cause these codesThe customer has a month warranty on the crank sensors and we will be happy to honor this warrantyTo repair the vehicle's current codes the customer needs further repairs which are unrelated to the crank sensorsThe #cylinder was misfiringWe had quoted replacing the coil & all of the spark plugs and plug boots based on the mileage and age of the vehicleWe had also quoted the fuel tank pressure sensor replacementThe estimate for these repairs was $These repairs are not related to the crank sensorsPlease keep in mind that these two items were the only codes which were current at the time we inspected the vehicleThere were a total of eleven (11) codes stored in the vehicle's ECM and the vehicle may require more work than what has been quoted hereTo summarize we will be happy to honor any needed warranties on the crank sensorsOn inspection we did not find the crank sensors having a current failure and the vehicle has other issues current and unrelated to the crank sensors which will need repairedWe quoted these repairs and the customer declined themThe vehicle had multiple other codes which may require additional repairs and cost in the future

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that what they said in text is not what they told me over the phone.  Even though their policy is NOT to give quotes over the phone that is not what they did that day.  With that said, I was contacted by the business on 10 Oct 2017  where they agreed to repair my vehicle for the $340.00, which was originally quoted by their rep over the phone.  I have an appointment for  17 Oct 2017 in the morning to have the repairs done.  I want to thank the sales rep that contacted me and helped bring this issue to an end, as well as Thomson MacConnell Cadillac.
