I am rejecting this response because: Northland Health Center did not give [redacted] a referral to a surgeon [redacted] was told it was scar tissue [redacted] did not discuss getting a second opinion to Northland Health CenterHe had asked me what I thought he should do after he left Northland Health Center and I told [redacted] he should go to the ERNorthland Health Center did not give [redacted] any further resources or informationThe nurse also told [redacted] she was sorry they could not help himThat would verify that they did not give [redacted] a referral to a surgeonIt would have been wonderful to get a referral to a surgeon from NorthlandIt would have prevented him from going to the ER

On October 18, 2017, Mr*** presented to our clinic located in BismarckHis chief complaint was a foreign object in his lower left extremityUpon physical exam, the provider was unable to locate a foreign object and made a plan to refer the patient to a general surgeonAccording to the
complaint and in conversation with the ***’s, the patient presented to another facility to get a second opinionAccording to the ***’s, the doctor determined that there was a foreign object in his leg and he referred him on to a general surgeonMr*** immediately called the clinic complaining of the service he received and requested his money backHe was told to call the administration office and ask for the Patient Services CoordinatorThe Patient Services Coordinator asked Mr*** to send documentation on his visitMr*** did so, but the information that he sent does not have any information on the care that he received from the other facilityUpon doing a complete investigation, we feel that the level of care and the diagnosis that our provider gave was very adequate and therefore do not feel that reimbursement is due backHowever, if the patient would contact us and provide further documentation to see if the level of care was adequate, we may reconsiderWe are sorry that Mr*** had this experience and by no means does this reflect how we at Northland want to conduct business

He had asked me what I thought he should do after he left Northland Health Center and I told [redacted] he should go to the ER. Northland Health Center did not give [redacted] any further resources or information. The nurse also told [redacted] she was sorry they could not help him. That would verify that they did not give [redacted] a referral to a surgeon. It would have been wonderful to get a referral to a surgeon from Northland. It would have prevented him from going to the ER.
