Northridge Contractors recently completed my family's home My budgets were changed on me unexpectedly and without a good explanation I agreed to certain budgets and allowances in the signed contract then once construction started they were cut so that everything was then over budget We went round and round on the topic and was told the banker cut the budgets Not sure how the banker has anything to do with the budgets in my home Things that were agreed upon in the contract were not fully fulfilled or I had to pay additional money to get these things Communication is very poor and usually delivered in a condescending tone Any time there was an issue the sub contractors were immediately thrown under the bus There is no sense of accountability within Northridge Contractors He will never own up to any mistake even when you present him the emails and/or text messages to prove it He has a problem delivery the things that he has promised He likes to play dumb and use the "i'm not that intelligent" game He is a very intelligent man that uses that act to make people believe he is not playing you for a fool while he is I believe he has a connection with the banker he uses at [redacted] (worse bank ever) that gives him all the money he desires without having truly proved any progress on the houseHe uses the money to take elaborate hunting trips and vacations After speaking with other contractors that know him and others that have allowed him to build their houses, this seems to be a common theme There is a certain amount of money he needs to fund his lifestyle each week and he uses the bank draws that should be paid to his subs to fund this lifestyle then has to charge you extra for each item in order to make his payments to his subs He left our yard in such bad shape that we have spent thousands of dollars to improve it and we just moved in months ago and haven't even scratched the surface One guy felt so bad that a contractor would leave our yard that way that he did some work for free Another guy refused to touch the mess because he knew Northridge contractors and his rip off money game and didn't want to be involved The man I bought the land from suggested reporting him to the health department When we talked to the inspectors he all but said this is a common issue with his houses and he barely does what he has to do to squeak by inspection There were so many other issues that its too many to name The HVAC company was doing work we requested of them independent of the house constructionThe owner's son came to do the work and realized a laundry list of issues including the instillation of a much cheaper unit than the unit we orderedSince Northridge's name is on the house I feel it was his duty to check his work and sign off saying it was correct before closing He does not feel that is his job and says its the subs fault if anything is wrong The HVAC company was so embarrassed they did our additional work free of charge and kept apologizing When we closed it was winter and wet so he promised to come back and do work on our yardHe has yet to show up even though we have contacted him multiple times At first he played dumb and pretended to have never said that Then once we spoke with the inspector he changed his tone and said he would come back But he hasn't I could go on for days

Northridge Contractors recently completed my family's home. My budgets were changed on me unexpectedly and without a good explanation. I agreed to certain budgets and allowances in the signed contract then once construction started they were cut so that everything was then over budget. We went round and round on the topic and was told the banker cut the budgets. Not sure how the banker has anything to do with the budgets in my home. Things that were agreed upon in the contract were not fully fulfilled or I had to pay additional money to get these things. Communication is very poor and usually delivered in a condescending tone. Any time there was an issue the sub contractors were immediately thrown under the bus. There is no sense of accountability within Northridge Contractors. He will never own up to any mistake even when you present him the emails and/or text messages to prove it. He has a problem delivery the things that he has promised. He likes to play dumb and use the "i'm not that intelligent" game. He is a very intelligent man that uses that act to make people believe he is not playing you for a fool while he is. I believe he has a connection with the banker he uses at [redacted] (worse bank ever) that gives him all the money he desires without having truly proved any progress on the house. He uses the money to take elaborate hunting trips and vacations. After speaking with other contractors that know him and others that have allowed him to build their houses, this seems to be a common theme. There is a certain amount of money he needs to fund his lifestyle each week and he uses the bank draws that should be paid to his subs to fund this lifestyle then has to charge you extra for each item in order to make his payments to his subs. He left our yard in such bad shape that we have spent thousands of dollars to improve it and we just moved in 7 months ago and haven't even scratched the surface. One guy felt so bad that a contractor would leave our yard that way that he did some work for free. Another guy refused to touch the mess because he knew Northridge contractors and his rip off money game and didn't want to be involved. The man I bought the land from suggested reporting him to the health department. When we talked to the inspectors he all but said this is a common issue with his houses and he barely does what he has to do to squeak by inspection. There were so many other issues that its too many to name. The HVAC company was doing work we requested of them independent of the house construction. The owner's son came to do the work and realized a laundry list of issues including the instillation of a much cheaper unit than the unit we ordered. Since Northridge's name is on the house I feel it was his duty to check his work and sign off saying it was correct before closing. He does not feel that is his job and says its the subs fault if anything is wrong. The HVAC company was so embarrassed they did our additional work free of charge and kept apologizing. When we closed it was winter and wet so he promised to come back and do work on our yard. He has yet to show up even though we have contacted him multiple times. At first he played dumb and pretended to have never said that. Then once we spoke with the inspector he changed his tone and said he would come back. But he hasn't. I could go on for days.
